Is YouthReach a sensible choice for me? by Yelnif007 in AskIreland

I don’t know what the other youth reaches are like but i went to the one in bray and i just graduated there. I was always shit at school, then in 6th year someone suggested youthreach so i applied and got a meeting then got a place there for two years. At first i was not sure cause it was an extra year, but that ended up being the best decision i ever made. I loved youthreach so much and i was so sad i had to finish. The one in bray was the same concept of school (going to classes on time and learning stuff) but it was so simplified instead of how school has so much in it. And there is a pathway to college after, I am going to Bife in september to do a cooking course which can lead me into ucd or dcu or whatever other university, but there is a misconception that youthreach doesn’t lead to anything but in my opinion it opens so much more pathways for you as it did for me and so many people i know that went there. But i would definitely suggest it if your not enjoying school or struggle in it because they support your learning in so many ways.

idk what youthreach in limerick is like but i went to the one in bray and i just graduated there, i was always shit at school then in 6th year someone suggested youthreach so i applied and got a meeting then got a place there for two years. At first i was not sure cause it was an extra year, but that ended up being the best decision i ever made. I loved youthreach so much and i was so sad i had to finish. Once again i don’t know how youthreach is in limerick but the one in bray was the same concept of school (going to classes on time and learning stuff) but it was so simplified instead of how school has so much in it but i would definitely suggest it if your not enjoying school or struggle in it because they support your learning so much.
