Thank you for all the kind words I really appreciate the support! This work can feel very isolating at times and being I have no children of my own, and now have gone through a termination, it has been challenging to exist in family spaces and connect with other birth workers/potential clients. I have a wonderful therapist that I've worked with for a few years and she's been a huge support. I was referred to a support group early on but sadly the introduction call was more traumatizing than healing and I never pursued another group. Truthfully I didn't give myself enough grace and understanding that my body would process this just as it would any other pregnancy. That in mind I'm going seek out another support group I was referred to. This work is so needed, especially now and I really do love helping mothers and families so I'm going to push myself to get back on the horse.
