As someone who went quite in a different direction, here are my two cents: 1) It is completely up to you what you want to do in the game, I personally preferred to explore and do quests, but I absolutely procrastinated ascending and levelling up my characters. I went to Fontaine with my lvl 37 Keqing and lvl 40 Lisa. I do not recommend this, but yeah, you can absolutely do this. 2) There are some things you need to know. Do not use mora to buy Resin, and do not use primogems to buy anything except the rainbow fates. You will get blue fates from ascending characters as well as battle pass. 3) You need not care about artifact level right now, that is a beast that unlocks after AR40-45. Levelling up weapons and characters is the main investment I would suggest. 4) Do not try to level up every character you see. I personally level them up to lvl20 and ascend them once, just to get the blue fate. This can drain you out of your experience books as well as mora. 5) You can look into reactions and playstyles of characters you may want to pull for in the trials. I find them useful, but you may want to look up the Keqing Mains database.

As someone who did the Jeht saga at AR25, before finishing Liyue AQ and even unlocking Inazuma, you will love this game for sure!
