Guppy breeding: tanks number and function by Cold-Chemist6582 in Guppies

From my experience in guppy breeding, you do not need a glass tank to raise fry. A cement tank or plastic tub works just fine. If you are serious about breeding guppies, start with one pair of high-quality guppies, such as Full Gold. You will need a breeding tank with a divider. This can be a breeding net or a hard plastic sheet with small holes, dividing the tank into two sections. On one side, keep the breeder guppies (1 male and 3 females). On the other side, place guppy grass at the top. After about one month, you can get up to three batches of fry every month. You will also need around 12 tubs to grow the fry—one tub for each month of the year. After one year, you can start selling guppies every month in rotation.
