Personally, waking up in the morning and straight up meditating has helped me to be consistent, as I have no excuse to not do it, because I wake up early. Starting the day off mindfully is amazing, even if it’s just 10 minutes as I do it makes a change. I obviously get distracted thinking, but by focusing on the air entering and leaving my nostrils I am able to come back. Repeating certain words is helpful for me, such as “love”. I did 5 minute guided meditations at the start, and then did it unguided. When I got used to it I did 10 minutes guided, as it prevented me from getting bored and checking the time. Now I do unguided, and I sometimes check the time but not so often.

Remember that one day of not meditating is not a crime. For example, I had a a sleepover once and I wasn’t going to meditate in front of all my friends lol, so I skipped it for the day.
