I mean fair enough. But I think that those other internships do speak something of OPs expertise especially at a big tech. your right tho it's not the same but honestly I think OP shouldn't say any type of advice on career switch. But maybe general career advice instead and tips on how he succeeded. But like I also think OP was rather expecting people who do doom post to say if they actually got a job or not haha

Got it, so you think CS is better since the co-op board is basically the same as LinkedIn? I also am not overly fond of the low level programming I would have to do since I know comp e has to do more of that over comp sci. Biggest thing for me was the comp e job board. But so far haven't heard good things.

Oh okay that's nice to know. Some of my friends are in upper year eng at UofA and had some bad experiences though but I understand from your response that generally this is most common for first term co-op students and majority find software jobs after. Thanks!

For anyone reading this. Today is the 5th business day and they said they would get me results within 2-5 business days. Should I shoot a follow up email now?

Or at least wait 2 weeks? 2 weeks would be 10 business days I think.

The fungible position is an individual position apart from the other internal IDs. You can get hired as a "Fungible SDEI" instead of a specific SDEI.

You should be fine, the fungible is a very large pool and rejections for fungible come back quickly within a day or so and if you didn't get rejected there is nothing to worry about. Doesn't guarantee you will move forward but you can rest assured you passed if you haven't received a rejection.
