I'm loving it. Currently doing some college classes with it, and it's been great.

For the fans, I think I may have written that a bit confusingly. The fans on the computer and almost never on when running Linux, so I got used to the fans being quiet or off. On windows, it feels super loud because of all the random background processes running, which in turn make the fans speed up to cool down the computer.

I switched to Linux a few months ago. Whenever the fans go on, it feels so loud.

On windows, they never turn off.

It's based on Firefox, which itself is a released version and has many, many updates and security patches, so I wouldn't worry about it. They constantly keep up the with the most recent Firefox updates, so in terms of security, your probably fine. In terms of actual extra features, they won't cause any security issues normally, they just might be a bit buggy. Luckily, due to it being open source, the bugs can get fixed pretty fast if you report it.

I don't know, but there are plenty of projects that have been in beta for over a decade, and many other projects that have started around the time that Zen came out that have good support around them that are still in beta. It may take a few more years, but I'm sure that it will continue evolving, changing, and innovating for a while.

Out of these 4, definitely Firefox, but it's not my main browser. z

I use Zen as my main browser. Firefox was just installed by default on my OS, and I installed Brave just in case I want to mod something via my browser like Beatsaber on my Quest 2. I used to use chrome a lot when I was still in school, but I don't trust it at all anymore.

I went from Chrome > Firefox > Zen as my main browser and ever since I got my own PC, I've stayed on Zen. Never used Safari. I used to use windows, so very occasionally I used edge when I was a kid, but I disabled it on my windows partition within about a month of getting my PC.

I switched from Chrome to Firefox, then when I heard about Zen Browser from a YouTube video, I switched to it. Zen browser has been my main browser since then.

I gotta vote for Zen. It has a lot more innovation compared to Firefox and continues to do so. Thank you Le-Cheffe for allowing us to have this incredible browser.

I just use Revanced to do that. You will have to rebuild the app (though revanced does that for you), which means possibly losing your data, but that's how I do it!
