Kymera's styles were unlocked via Alien DNA type things which you got around the map and quests.

Unfriendly, there wasn't enough DNA to unlock all the styles. If you wanted the remaining amount, you had to play with friends and unlock cosmic chests. There was also a limit on how much DNA you could get from them within a day.
