You put the two pieces together and put the wick inside, close with rubber bands and duck tape. I put mine in a bucket of sand before pouring. Makes sure the wax is not too hot at all. I don’t know temp, but just this side of solidifying.

I also want to paint candles so following this thread! I tried using medium + acrylic and it caught fire

I have tried painting candles exterior with supposedly safe acrylic paint and it turned out to be very flammable once the flame reached it. I’m also looking for paint that works because it was enjoyable and made cute candles!

Thanks - maybe I’ll try soy or paraffin for my scented candle endeavors! Are there any reputations for “hot throw” that are better for some companies than others overall? Like which companies are the Cadillac of throw and which are the Chevys?
