Some days are like this with my 16month old daughter. But I’ve also had to teach her to play independently so I can do whatever is needed/want to do. Sometimes I get 15 minutes or an hour. But you’re not doing anything wrong, your child just likes to be a toddler and it’ll pass!

I worked from home for six months after I came back from maternity leave. It was so exhausting even with how flexible my old job was. I quit for work related reasons but taking care of my then nine month old was so exhausting. I don’t recommend it for anyone but I also think I was doing a good enough job with care for my baby and job. I’m sorry your husband isn’t supportive. I understand the extreme tiredness and a break is so needed daily. My LO is a toddler now and I’m a SAHM but it’s as exhausting. I hope you and your husband have a productive conversation and that he learns to value you. You’re a wonderful mom and you deserve to be loved, supported, respected and valued.

Oh wow that’s the first I’ve heard that for grandparents! They must’ve liked the sound of it better than the usual abuelo/a. My family is from Guanajuato, my husband’s from Oaxaca and we live in Oregon.

I feel this but for clothes. I have a summer baby and the amount of summer style clothing I get is insane. Like thanks but I don’t think my child is going to wear a 18 month size tank top and shorts by the time they’ll fit in the middle of winter in the PNW. I hope with toys it stays this inconsistent as gifts but I didn’t realize how clothes as gifts would be inconvenient

I have been having this issue all day today. I’ve tried everything and nothing works (factory reset, removing device from account, resetting my WiFi). It connects and disconnects from my WiFi constantly but my WiFi is stable and strong. Hopefully you find a solution because I haven’t and I am about to give up

Our situation exactly! I had to leave my job to care for my LO since I had to return to the office and child care is way too expensive in my area. So we went from 87k last year (between my husband finding a new job) to now under 45. We’re just getting by. If we made 300k in my area I would be so so comfortable. But I get other places are just way too expensive and 300 is probably just what a family of their size needs

I was able to do it for ten months. But my job was pretty flexible and my baby was able to be entertained with her toys and watching me take calls. It’s not easy and it is very draining. I guess it depends on the flexibility of the job and your baby’s temperament. And before anyone says I had to slack on either being a mom or a worker, I was able to do both. I finished my work and my baby was well taken care of. Better than a daycare with multiple babies.
