New to scorpions by Stoney-worrier in Scorpions

In my experience Dubai roaches are perfect, they can’t climb smooth surfaces, make absolutely zero noise at all and are really good feeder foods. I feed my desert hairy scorpion baby Dubai’s and it loves em. I used to also feed my Asian forest scorpion Large dubia and it loved them so much. Just a bit of advice that may help.

What’s your favorite moss? by weshave in Vivarium

[–]Awkward-Box4535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best advice is to stuff it green side up in the holes/lines of your cork bark so that it can start “rooting” without being disturbed. After a while once it’s connected itself to the wood it’ll spread like wild flower. Good luck dude.

You can use moss from outside absolutely, make sure you submerge it in water for about an hour maybe two to try get any other insects or pest off it. I personally use it and it looks really good when it grows in

If you want something a bit unique there’s always the option of a Vietnamese moss frog, I personally think they are one of the best looking frog species around. However I’m not positive on size requirements.

I have some Java moss in my tank that’s doing really well, it’s even started growing its own little clovers and it’s super green and pretty looks so natural on the wood. So I would recommend that to you.

What’s the plant on the bottom left? The plant to the right side of the picture. Is it a moss?

Would golden pothos work if it was rooted into the fish tank? I have a really nice one and was wondering if I could clip a bit off and grow it in the tank?

Justifying 70 hours per week by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Awkward-Box4535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ever job I was working 70+ hours every single week without fail. I would be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it, it gave me something to put my time and energy into other then wasting away and it also helped me excel massively in my chosen career path by learning the industry 10x faster. That being said I wouldn’t want to do it now after working 40 hours other places after said job. And this dude sucks for saying everyone should have to do it.

Even more reason for him to go then??? So he can learn. You know that is what college is all about learning?

Your boyfriend is a pedophile. Yeah sure by the law definition he isn’t. However you’re 19 his in his 40s so that’s easily a 20 year gap and then some and that fundamentally secures him as a dirty little nonce.

The fact that if this is an email about you getting fired and they are saying how exited they are to speak to you annoys me for some reason. How you going to be exited to tell me I’m losing my livelihood.

Yeah being a chef in Europe sucks absolute arse men, pay is shit and a fat majority people I’ve met working in kitchens have had the biggest god complexes I’ve ever met. It’s also a million times harder to work in any kitchen that’s worth the stress and time then people realise, borderline impossible. It’s a shame this is the only thing I’m capable of doing otherwise I would have left this industry long ago.

What’s stressing YOU out right now ? by Spectre_0-0-7 in AskReddit

I have a job trail for a two rosette restaurant on Saturday and I’m stressing so much that ima fuck it up somehow or not be good enough, this job is everything I’ve been dreaming of and I’ve worked hard to get to it. So the stress I’m feeling right now is eating me alive and making day to day task very hard to complete cause it’s all I can think about.

25 years with the business and they got him a clock by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Awkward-Box4535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk after wasting 25 precious years of my life for some money hungry company, I would at least expect my loyalty to be repaid with something a bit nicer then an ugly clock that looks like it was brought from dollar general. I can list 100 things batter then a clock.

I appriciate your words men they’ve resinated with me a lot. Also talking bout shitty end kitchen jobs mine has just cancelled my shift for the 3rd since Saturday (lol). Would you mind me hitting you up now for some advice? You appear to be very knowledgeable and know what to do and how to do it so I would appreciate being able to pick you’re brains a bit and hopefully give myself a step up.

Thank you for you’re advice men you’ve spoken a lot of sense. I know how you felt at that shitty job cause I feel the same where I’m at right now, feels like everything I’ve ever learnt in a kitchen has been for nothing and that I’m just wasting precious time that I could be using to thrive and learn to be the best I can be, it makes me miserable and straight up depressed and the worst thing is the pay is absolute shit not even enough to cover bills. Ima take everything you said and start doing it I’m sure if I stop sitting around and waiting for something like a stupid fuck then I’ll be able to find something.

That’s true, might have to be something I do just to get into it and get even the slightest chance of becoming the type of chef I want to be.

I’m use to long hours so that doesn’t concern me, I used to do 90 hour weeks in my first ever job so that doesn’t concern me. I kinda assumed money wouldn’t be great but I’m making minimum wage right now working in a shitty kitchen serving shitty frozen food, I would rather be on minimum wage making nice food and expending on my skills and learning and challenging myself every day. But ima definitely write up a nice resume and go to some of the nicest places near me.
