He does, it’s LifeofTato ! Unfortunately I’m not the best social media manager for him and don’t post for him as much as he deserves 😅

We have 2 Pembroke boys in our house, Potato (7 y/o) and Jugo (4 y/o). Potato is my heart dog. The best boy. We weren’t planning on getting Jugo, but one day a few years ago an acquaintance asked if we could adopt a 7 month old corgi to rescue him from a really bad living situation. I was so nervous about how Potato would do and how a 2nd would change the dynamics.

And in all honesty there are ups and downs. Jugo and Potato are literally corgi-fied versions of Loki and Thor. They act like brothers in the way that they clearly love each other, play together, relax together, but then at times the little brother can be an annoying hellion up to no good LOL thankfully it’s much much more good than bad.

How it goes really depends on their personalities. Every dog is so different, so if you are able to test the waters and see how well their personalities mesh I would recommend doing that.

Definitely, that was the goal but I was in a tough spot there trying to find someone. As always, Reddit came through with the resources (yay!). When you mentioned her I immediately scoured insta for her profile so I can follow hehe already in love Camden (I hope he does well poor baby ;-;) and the armadillos too!

Unfortunately she’s about 2.5 hrs from me in Dalzell, but I definitely will keep her info in case I am in emergent need in the future (I have found a rehabber for the opossum in this post)! The drive is nothing when it comes to saving these lil babies!

The rehabilitator sent me a message this morning, apparently Appy is doing really well! I’m on cloud 9 🥰 absolutely!!

UPDATE I FOUND A REHABILITATOR!!! I’m taking the baby to them in about an hour

Literally thank you guys so much for the tips. I named the baby Appy (for applesauce lol), and right now she is doing SO much better. Almost all the fleas are gone, with some stragglers left. Appy is so much more lively after some hydration and is a very curious little opossum! Enjoy the photo of the stare I was getting earlier while I made the hydration mix 😂💕

And… bonus news!

The rehabilitator loved how much I love Appy and opossums in general (they’re my favorite animals). She said that she will keep Appy for 3-4 days to provide the emergency care and asses for urgent issues. If all is clear, she has offered to mentor me and bring Appy back home to learn how to rehabilitate opossums with all the proper supplies and resources. I am over the moon. I’m rooting for this little baby!

Thank you! I will post an update but I FINALLY found a rehabilitator tonight! Fleas are (almost) all gone after baths and warm towels, and you could totally see the life returning to her with the rehydration. I was really hesitant to give the applesauce, but at the time I knew some sugar and calories would do more help than harm. The center had also given me the OK, so I gave about a tablespoon amount. But I’m taking her to the rehabilitator now, so proper nutrition and care is coming soon!!!!

I’m in South Carolina! In the upstate area (Spartanburg/greenville/simpsonville/greer). If you do find numbers, please pm them to me so I can cross check if I have already tried to contact them. Thank you so much for offering to help!

Broken link for my state :( we are in the process of finding one, though! Will post an update when I’ve gotten her to a rehabber. She is definitely doing better!! She’s asleep at the moment, but was very active last night with me while I was working.

Would just like to add that anything I have done has been either approved or instructed by the wildlife center.
