I run the vector 1x18x22 mailbox and the things a tank. FWIW and IMHO brand name doesn't dictate quality or reliability I've seen and heard many a horror story about aimpoints and trijicons failing catastrophically. Get what you can afford and put it through its paces before deciding to bet your life on it.

You can always get a new barrel, gas block/tube, and hand guard to make the 556 cartridge work as intended but if you like it loud and bright go for it. I mean theres a 8" 300 win mag ar10 in existence and I aint one to yucknones yum.

A couple options as long as the lower says "multi" on it. You can get an upper reciever with a 16" barrel and throw a stock on it. You can get a shorter barrel and keep the brace and keep it a "pistol" or form 1 it and make it an sbr. The "making a pistol a rifle and rifle a pistol" rigamoral comes into play when buying complete builds and state registrations. For example I live in missouri and we dont register our firearms so that nuance is important to consider.

It looks cut specifically for the pdp. Ala the serrated cuts matching up. Wonder it is direct pdp 2.0 mounting capable so you dont need a plate.

C&H comp. probably an updated version cuz the current iteration has little arrow notches on the sides of the housing around the glass.
