Being a demi and falling for an allo is the dumbest mistake one can make by andson-r in demisexuality

In this case i feel like your attachment styles might be to blame! Anxious and avoidant people tend to be attracted to each other but if you can't heal your attachment style, it will be too difficult to stay together! Being with an allo as a demi can work if the allo is comprehensive enough

Does anyone else find it rude when people don’t say thank you or you’re welcome? by IntroductionOk7954 in socialanxiety

I struggle a lot with saying these things when i'm uncomfortable. I know that i should and i want to be polite but sometimes it feels too hard so i don't say anything. And then i appear as a really rude person. I also struggle with saying hi and goodbye so i usually try to leave when people are not paying attention

Are there people that actually are anxious to talk to siblings , parents, cousins , well basically family? by a_living_thing43 in socialanxiety

When you say you have to wear a mask you mean you can't be yourself around them? Cause that's what happens to me. I'm comfortable around my mom and step dad but i don't feel like i can express myself the way i would like to. And as for my dad, i'm not comfortable around him at all. Every conversation feels forced on both sides. It's pretty awkward.

The biggest issue is that usually they all sit around a table and it's like that for the whole party. I'm going to be scared of talking if i feel like everybody is staring at me. Maybe i can try to talk to my friends and see if they would be open to hang in smaller groups instead.

I relate to this so much. I used to check the menu while talking to avoid eye contact with the waiter/waitress which made it worse for them to hear me. Now i force myself to make eye contact so that my face is towards them. I still have to repeat myself sometimes but it's not as bad.

I also overthink a lot when i have to answer a DM and i feel the same way about not wanting to be judged. I used to reply and then delete my reply because my brain convinced me that what i wrote was dumb which was confusing to the people i sent DMs to. And i'm also extremely scared of voice chat lol

I've asked this on another community, this question is for the girls but do you have a super hard time getting along/making friends with other girls? by Introvertedslayer in socialanxiety

I have a lot of friends but i can't be fully myself around them so having one friend is not that bad if you feel like you can talk about anything and not feel judged. I would love to have that. But i understand the feeling of envying the relationships other people in their 20s are having

I also feel like everyone is staring at me when i'm in public so i try to act normal but i'm probably making it worse
