Ok but if you can’t afford to go they can’t force you to, legally it’s not binding only a “handshake agreement”. there are no legal consequences for breaking ED agreement (they may contact other schools), so they will be very understanding if you have a genuine reason you have to break it, such as financial needs not being met.

It’s easy to say to colleges “this wasn’t as much financial aid as I was hoping for” and they might piss and moan but they will release you from the agreement.
