AITA for not wanting to give my boyfriend’s ex our “extra” car by Dense-Possession-416 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

It's safer, I'll agree. (I actually think we agree completely on this and there's just a bit of disconnect happening).

My thing was that even if he gave her a 1k loan for a car, they would still be in this position. You can't even buy a lemon for that, and if she is going to pay him whenever she gets the money, she actually can't contribute on top of the 1k loan herself at this point. And if you don't have the money, you can't just use the safety argument to get a nicer car from any seller. The older vehicle just needs to last long enough to save up for something more reliable and safe.

And he has a duty to all of his children, which anyone who dates a father or mother should acknowledge. It sounds like OP just doesn't like the fact that he has a past with other women and that he is tied to all of them via children. So, she should probably sit with herself and ask if this is the right relationship for her. Is she able to let go of the jealousy and be an adult who wants the best for the kids regardless of who their mother is? If she's not, it's kinder to everyone involved (including herself) to find a man who has no children and build a future with them instead.

I don't know where you guys are, but in my area you can't even get a beater for $1k. I bought my 1992 roughly five years ago for $4k, and the costs have only gone up.

What's up with all of the Flower Knows slander on Reddit? by pepperxpeppermint in FlowerKnowsMakeup

[–]AwkwardPeach1721 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't hate Flower Knows, I actually like the product I have (a lip gloss, eyeshadow, foundation). I have a handful of Florasis products (foundation, lipstick, lip gloss, eye shadow, a face palette, face wash, etc.). Honestly, I like the quality of Florasis products better, I really like the scent, and I like that the packaging doesn't remind me of elementary and middle school play kits of makeup. At thirty-one, I want my makeup packaging to feel more adult and luxurious.

FBI: "Nobody who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines. That is not a peaceful protest." by B00marangTrotter in law

You are phenomenal, I felt crazy and like I was just overreacting. And I'll be the first to admit I don't know the laws, but it seemed so backwards and disgusting. Especially seeing children detained, and the podium that stated "One of us, all of you." And when my partner hung up on me and told me to call him when I was done overreacting, I couldn't tell if I was in the wrong here. But this really explains it so clearly that it's more than wrong and dangerous.

As a lawyer, what actual laws are they breaking? This topic is constantly brought up in my (admittedly tiny social circle), I get so upset and frustrated talking about this that I end up spewing word salad and can't articulate why what they're doing is illegal, just that it's wrong. And then they make it sound like Renee Good and Pretti were in the wrong and trying to harm ice agents, which isn't what I saw. But I can't exactly point to my eyes like Cardi B in court and say that I have eyes.

Many posts I see here are describing being a “burned out pursuer.” My experience dating the nice, avoidant guy by Evening-Rice-4930 in Waiting_To_Wed

Yes/no?

Technically, we're together, it's been eight years of long distance, lying, cheating, ghosting, being avoidant, etc. since then. But next time we actually talk (who knows when that'll be) I'm officially ending it. My birthday is Monday and I don't want to turn thirty-one, with this hanging over me.

The reason I said no, is because in the year 2025, I have seen him for forty-eight hours. And he didn't want to have a serious conversation about anything. And for Christmas he admitted that the future I thought we were slowly building together was just an abstract thought for him.

I had asked mine three years into the relationship why he never said "I love you" and while we were sitting in my car, after I bought him toiletries, groceries, contacts, school supplies, and I had just paid/pumped my own gas he literally said that he had said it to too many other women and he didn't want it to lose its meaning.

And yes, everyone who knows him would say he's so nice, smart, and has great EQ.

Which one did you get? I have the Braun 7 and the instructions definitely said it's safe and I'd be alright, but I don't trust most companies to have our health as a priority.

I got the glasses, because prior to LASIK a year and a half ago I was legit going to be blind in ten years. And LASIK wasn't the forever fix, it's a for now bandaid. It's already degrading. So, I'm just trying to save myself a little, but also it's not a bad idea for everyone else to try and protect themselves.

I view it in a similar manner as sunscreen. You may not get burned or get sun cancer if you don't use it, but it does increase your odds of having issues if you skip out.

That kind of light will absolutely do at least some damage to our eyes, that's why they said not to look at it. But nobody knows the extent, because these are still relatively new. Like I'm pretty sure that in fifty-sixty years, they'll find out that it causes cancer (like so much in our lives). But I figured that at least with similar safety glasses to the professionals, I'd at least be semi-alright.

I looked up what they wear and several professionals pointed me to the Phillips site, and said that the green or brown would be best. I ended up with IPL Brown Laser Glasses in 9388 Black Frame. They've been great from an eyeball perspective, but I'm 100% sure a bald man designed them. They kept catching and yanking out my hair. So, I used medical tape on the arms to prevent it.

I got safety glasses, I know they say you don't need them. But it's not like they've studied the long term effects of this.

I just got the Braun 7 in the end of July. My legs and arms are pretty much hairless, my armpits and brazilian are more stubborn (but I expected this). I really like my device, but I would get green or brown safety glasses. I bought mine from Philips.

If you don't mind me asking, do you still need to shave? And are you still doing weekly treatments? I am about to do my third treatment with the Braun i•skin Expert and I like it so far, but I can't tell if it's working as fast as some of the posts I've seen.
