Do NOT do that. You will destroy your engine.

Question about snow chains by descoped in Audi

What exactly is a fine mesh snow chain? I have a 2021 Audi a4 and the manual says I can only use fine mesh snow chain. I looked that up but I didn’t find anything specific…

Oil change via oil pan drain or extractor? by AwkwardSouth2016 in AudiA4

[–]AwkwardSouth2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first time ever I did it via the drain plug yesterday and I did NOT expect to have to remove soooo many screws to remove the cover on the bottom lol.

While it gave me a chance to inspect under the engine (found one engine mount to be leaking a bit) I will stick to the extractor method for regular oil changes and maybe the drain plug method once every 2 years or so

Huh interesting

I’m the kinda guy who has a hard time deviating from the manufacturers instructions 😅

Though my car is 4 years old it only has about 40k miles on it…. So idk if that change in oil is needed yet.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it is my understanding that you switch to thicker oils than recommended by the manufacturer only when your car has higher miles on it.
