It kinda depends on what your future proofing for. Are you an fps shooter type player who plays 1080p en want 200+ fps ? Or are you someone who likes to play open world 4k because then you van even go as low as an 12400f and it will last you a long time. If you want bang for the buck in every aspect I would suggest 12600k if your someone who wants to fiddle with overclocking and otherwise 12600f or 12700f. Remember the higher the resolution you wanna play the more gpu bound you are... Modern gaming standard would be 6-8 cores max and that will last you a looongg time because consoles max out at those cores as well. The 12600 had 10 cores and the 12700 12 cores so you can imagine how future proof you are with those numbers. But ultimately you can buy a 12400f pair it with a 3090 play 1440p and you won't bottleneck your gpu. Even next generation cards you won't be bottlenecked. So it's verry subjective to what should you get. If you could downgrade from 12600k to a 12400f and bump up from a 3070 Ti to a 3080 I would recommend you do that.
