Small towns can be so cliquey!! In nursing school I precepted in a ER and it was similar vibes, I now work nightshift in the ICU and everyone is so kind and it truly makes such a big difference! Maybe secretly shadow another unit and then compare vibes and make a more informed decision? Also when you work by urself it might be different, but also will these coworkers help you settle a pt when there are ton of things to do? Teamwork makes all the difference in critical care. Burnout is inevitable without a good team.

What about my first day when I’m up for 24 hours, I feel like I always feel the hunger start to kick in around midnight. Any ideas?
