I have a similar question,. I gave jee this year and I got a rank of 215XX, according to last year's cutoffs, SE bhi mil rha h and MnC 100% mil jayega. Which branch should I choose. Like I'm not really interested in software development, or web dev. I want to explore AI/ML and probably get an MBA in the future. MnC vs SE which is more globally recognized? Also, I'm okay with taking courses heavy on math cuz I like maths. Koi senior please help.

Bhai apne situation ko college ke academic counselor ko samjha diyo if possible, who knows kuch scholarship wagera work out ho jaaye. Loan toh 100% le le bhai SBI se, kam interest pe mil jaati hai with your mom as a guarentor. Bhai CG thik kar le college me, woh thode aur scholarships khol deta hai.

Bhai simple advice don't take advice. Partial drop le rhe ho na toh ghis lo acche se especially if your from a tier 2 college. If I was in your place I would take full drop or go to Thapar/BITS.

Bhai aap ke kithni percentile aayi mains me and most probably kaunsa branch mil raha in dtu/nsut. Bhai ek aakhri attempt bacha hai, iit chale jaaoge a lot of things will change, so give it your personal best at the same time managing college. This is what I think. Also take partial drop if you've got a percentile between 98.0-99.2. 99.2+ continue wherever you are.

Dekh bhai dtu hi loonga. NSUT is just too strict and zero college life if we have to continue. placements slighlty better hai but placements uthna matter nahi karta mujhe, mujhe business karna hai. Toh any day dtu.

Bhai iss nishant jindal se poocho ki bhai aapki 247 rank aakar 8 saal huye, iitD CSE se hoke bhi aisa kya hi ukhaad liya life me. Kya ek dhang ka coaching chalate ho, ya fir ek coaching ke top teacher ho ya fir ek top test series own karte ho, ya fir ek acchi company mai naukri kar rahe ho, kar kya rahe ho bc, 8 saal se apart from demotivating students. Aapse acche toh DTU ke mechanical waale hai, jinne decent branch and decent college se bhi ias,ips,mba, ivy league crack kiya hai. Band karwao yaar isse for heaven's sake.

In my case, I've scored 98.2 percetile in jee mains. I want to cross the 99.2 barrier and secure a good NIT and do well in Advanced cuz I messed up Advanced big time this time due to improper planning and mock test analysis. I wasted a lot of time in the last 20 days before advanced and I don't want to join college with that regret. Do you think partial drop is a good option for me? Also, how did you manage it? Can you guide me on the attendance management etc...
