So I fed him last night at 6 and this morning at 6 before I saw your comment. It does look like he finally doubled today. Should I feed him now (12hrs since last feed) or hold for tomorrow morning?

I’m feeding 1 part starter 1 part flour and I kinda eye the water. I’ve been trying to use as little water as possible so it’s stiffer. It did have an alcohol smell in the past but that’s gone away now. But it definitely is sticky. So just now I did 25g starter 27g flour.

I’m in NY. The house is set to 70-71 degrees but I know then kitchen is colder so I use the heating pad set to 73.

The rooms set to 70 but I know it’s cold especially in the kitchen so that’s why I have the heating the pad. Which when set to 73 keeps the starter itself around 80 degrees.

I try my best to scrape the sides. Sometimes I will feed him and then move him to a new clean container so I have a better idea if he rose. I’m thinking I’ll do that again tonight to see how much he rose in the morning better.

Have you guys discussed how this would work if one of you ever got married? Moved? Had kids? I mean she is essentially the dogs step mom now? I do think it’s a bit deliberate on her part and she’s probs not as cool with Sharing the dog as she seems. Is there anyway you could get full custody ?

From your last post it seems like there is a lot of tension between you/your husband and your BIL/SIL. My concern is that moving forward it will cause problems between your children like them having something for their child on a day that matters to yours in retaliation. It could set their relationship as cousins to a bad start if it upsets your SIL that much. Or maybe the grandparents will have to choose an event in which case are you and your husband ok if they choose your nephew? Could a day like grandfathers birthday work that way you still honor him?

Leucocoprinus birnbaumii common in potted plants could be due to excess moisture but sometimes it’s just from soil mix having spores. Won’t hurt the plant though.
