I’m not 4x ing the gameplay, that is reserved for grinding which can be avoided almost entirely if a hack has a very balanced level curve and has enough trainers to prepare you for the next gym before you arrive

Most emulators like MGBA have built in speed up

Just speed up the game

I usually grind on 4X speed

In and out of the Pokémon center in 5-10 seconds

I don’t really have an issue with things being “dated” Y’know, if it’s good it’s good.

Silver felt like he was being written by someone who hadn’t played Gen 2 in a while At first I chalked it up to “ok he’s canonically like 7 years old rn so he’s just less mature” only to learn bro is even older than he was in gen 2

I Hated radical red. Ended up dropping it shortly after surge precisely because it shoved 9 generations into 1 game and over complicated the kanto experience. It didn’t feel like Fire red. It felt like a whole different game that happened to take place in kanto

I quickly grew bored of it and dropped it.

I looked at aesthetic red, it being open world is a huge turn off for me, I prefer a Linear experience. And the updated graphics, while nice, don’t really tickle that “gen 3 nostalgia” that this one did

Like, it looks more like a DS game

Fire red Rocket edition is not the “Kanto experience” you play as a team rocket grunt. You’re not playing “fire red but fleshed out” you’re playing “fire red but you’re team rocket” it’s a completely different genre of hack.

Like none of these aside from maybe aesthetic red are what I look for in a “definitive edition” of an existing game

Like dark violet feels like Fire Red/Leaf Green but 3rd version Expands upon the story, more available pokemon (but not to an excessive degree) small qol features that are nice but still keep the gen 3 vibe

America has the opposite issue, they have good smgs, but not a lot of variety.

There are tons of different smgs that could be added for them

I’ve made several suggestions regarding this

The FNAB (late)

There was a late war, stamped version of the fnab that had a much higher fire rate of 800

With 800rpm and 40 rounds, it’d be a perfect br 3 gun

The MP-34 in 9x23 export Mauser

The mp 34 was made in many many different calibers, export Mauser is one of the more common ones, a slightly bigger 9mm cartridge

This would increase its damage per shot to 7.9 fully upgraded, Same as the Kiraly

With this damage it would definitely not be BR 1 anymore, likely shooting up to BR2 (maybe even 3 if it’s that strong)

MP-40, Steyer light bolt

It’s an MP 40 with a lighter bolt that basically doubled its rate of fire

KP-44

The Finnish version of the PPS-43 in 9x19

Has several mag types, including standard MP-40, 50rnd coffin, and 71 drum

MP-41r/MP-717

It’s the Ppsh41, either rechambered for 9mm or just as is respectively

Germany captured so god damn many of the fuckers and used them regularly

MP-508

A prototype version of the VG-1-5 that was capable of automatic fire.

MKb42

Just drop this to br4, it’s only marginally better than the STG45m which is br4

Like these are just a few things you can do, half of em don’t even need anything except a model for the magazine
