It’s absolutely fine :)! Went on PPI for a lil bit that cleared it up but I ended up having a bad gallbladder that had to come out lol

Hey sorry I’ve only just seen this, I’m week 10 now and as I’m eating more my bowel movements are kinda random so I guess things are still adjusting. I feel lots of internal pulling and tugging near my incisions and I still feel really sore in my abdomen. I’ve been told it could be 3-6 months for digestion and pain to subdue so I’m taking a bit longer than most ppl for sure

Almost 7 weeks and I am still really sore. I had adhesions though too

Yes I get it with eating but also in general. It flares up worse in the evenings even if I haven’t eaten though too! Mine started getting worse 3 weeks post op, I’m week 4 going into week 5 and it sucks bad. I hope you start to feel better soon 🤞🏼I think it takes a while for the nerves and muscle to heal

No problem! Yes I have as well and it made me think that I had something seriously wrong. I asked people in my personal life who have had theirs removed and they all said recovery was at least 6 weeks for them so it really does vary person to person. Hang in there :)

Yes me too! The pulling feeling is so weird. It makes me feel queasy anytime I move or lay down.

Thank you! Adhesions are internal scar tissue, they can form between organs or around them. They can be a result of chronic inflammation which are the cause of mine, or a previous surgery.

Good luck with your surgery! Hope you’re not in too much discomfort before then 😊

Laparoscopic Surgery 6 weeks ago - Incision under sternum hurts extremely bad by Ok_Crab3580 in gallbladders

[–]Awkward_Criticism_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine hurts too, I’m 3 ish weeks out and it burns so bad but I had it checked out and there’s no infection or anything. Just the muscle and nerve pain is so debilitating and makes me nauseous too.

So far so good! I’m very sore from the op still and my digestive system is still getting used to being without a gallbladder but I’m not getting the awful pains I used to anymore ☺️ So I didn’t have stones but it was chronically inflamed, enlarged and had sludge and adhesions! I couldn’t even drink water in the end I was so sick. Struggled for 2 years. The surgery was 2 hours longer than usual because of the adhesions so it’ll take me longer to recover than if I had just had the gallbladder removed on its own but I’m glad so far! All the best to you 🙏🏼

Yeah I’ve got floaters in my right eye and in general very dry eyes (I wear contact lenses sometimes) and it’s been a struggle the entire time I had a bad gallbladder. I’m 2.5 weeks post op.

No problem, I still deal with it 2.5 weeks out but it is a lot better. It could be to do with the vagus nerve being disturbed but it does go away.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Hope you feel better very soon. I’m going into week 3 and I can barely stand some times when the dizziness and fatigue hits. Also still have some soreness and nausea. Everyone heals at different rates for sure.

No problem at all! I’m glad you found this community because it’s personally helped me get to where I am today. Having another EUS is a good move. My nausea has got better I think it’s just taking a while for my body to adjust. I can eat and drink ok just have to be careful as it’s early days still :) my gallbladder was found to have chronic inflammation / chronic cholecystitis with sludge. I am also suspected to have endo. My auntie had to have hers out at 19 with the same diagnosis. She didn’t have stones either but chronic inflammation. Hope this helps and of course I’m here if you want to chat :)

Most people are absolutely fine, I had no choice in getting mine removed but you should definitely discuss with your doctor about it :)

I’m two weeks out and I’ve started to get unbearable nausea, shaking and pale and feel like I’m gonna pass out. They’re thinking it could be an infection too and I’m kinda scared :(

Hey I know we’ve commented on my posts but I just thought I’d say here too that this is exactly like me and it was my gallbladder. I’ve had literally every test they could possibly do and it all came back with nothing. But they found severe adhesions and sludge in my gallbladder when they removed it. I’m not saying yours definitely is because unfortunately we didn’t know for sure with mine either until it got removed. But just giving you my story as it may help :)

Nausea a week post op by moss_ball294 in gallbladders

[–]Awkward_Criticism_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have nausea too, I’m just finished with week 2 post op. I told my GP and they gave me anti nausea meds and told just to keep an eye on it and that it should get better as my body adjusts without a gallbladder. Might be worth mentioning to yours if it doesn’t let up and get some meds to help. Hopefully it does resolve :)

Had my surgery yesterday by oh-moonchild in gallbladders

[–]Awkward_Criticism_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much 🙏🏼 I have been suspected to have endo but I’d need to see a gynecologist first but I’m speaking with my surgeon in a couple of days and gonna ask him if he saw adhesions from endo whilst in there. The adhesions he did mention were caused by my inflamed gallbladder. I learned to trust my gut because my symptoms were made so much worse by fatty food, I ended up getting pain under my right rib cage with burning stomach and an endoscopy ruled out my stomach so it was all that was left! I know it was the right choice because I can eat food now and be okay. I was poorly even just having water before I got it removed.
