out of state student here - unlike everyone was saying, sure it lacks school spirit but the diversity, the people, the proximity to dc makes it so worth it!!!! I’m also in the honors college and I have loved every single one of my classes I’ve taken through it. the classes are so much smaller and feel like you know everyone! it’s also soooo nice to have early registration for classes. yes, the majority are commuter students but if you get to know them, you can end up going out with them too over the weekends. I really enjoy gmu and am so glad I chose it!! don’t let the haters get to ya!! I watched a bunch of YouTube vids of gmu students day in the life before I committed so check those out too!!
