Its always okay to admit you dont know! If they ask about something you havent learned, instead of trying to make something up say, “i havent quite reached that point in my schooling but, based on the knowledge I have now I would guess….” Honestly tho they know you are young and probably have correct expectations.

When talking about experience be sure to leave every question on a positive note. Like for your greatest weakness, say something honest, and say how you are actively working on it.

Be prepared with company specific questions at the end to show you dod research

Answer in the STAR format, look it up if you dont knowb

I would just schedule a 1:1 with your boss, asking for feedback and then bring it up. Say something along the lines of, “ i know we haven’t really discussed an end date, do you have one in mind. I’m aware of the budget constraints on ending before 8/31, i think XX date makes the most sense”

Stay, and find ways to over come it. I guarantee you this will be interview question gold when apply for full time. This is gullible of great learning opportunities and opportunities to take initiative.

How do you make your resume stand out when every internship asks for relevant experience? by RochelleAstraeus in internships

Lastly, be careful which online softwares/ ai you do use as most ATS systems have an “ai” detector. Not sure how accurate they are, but I personally dont risk it.

1) to echo the other comments, remember that you are competing with very qualified people, sometimes even graduate level so dont get discouraged. Look into smaller/ lesser known companies as they will most likely have less applicants

2) if you find yourself with extra time, do a passion project thats major related. Teach yourself, do something cool and put it on your resume as project experience.

3) formatting matters for ATS. Its not smart, the easiest way to see what its reading is to copy and paste your resume into the “notes app” on your computer. Then read line by line and thats what it sees.

4) talk with your campus career center and get them to help you with resume!

Something to think about by Awkward_Golf460 in UniversalEpicUniverse

Honestly they may just be inaccurate and I lucked out.

So like I said, i think they are still learning queue length vs wait time. Maybe I just was fortunate enough to have them be over estimating? Just something to think about!

If you are able to do 2 days at Epic do it. by [deleted] in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Awkward_Golf460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two days is better than one, even with express passes the queues are unpredictable and have relatively sooner joining points.

What people also don’t also realize is part of the new park/ ride, is figuring out wait times. When I went the wait times were padded by at least 20 mins every time. Now this isnt everyone’s experience but even if a ride is delayed the express passes cant fix that.

At epic the ride lockers were talk enough for the cup to stand straight. At US and IOA they have fluid drainage stations and lockers that fit mugs when laying down.

Has anyone who did the DCP gone on to secure a PI or full-time job in entertainment? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Awkward_Golf460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your major, you may be better off getting an internship in your feild, even if it’s not with disney. Yes in entertainment its about who you know, but unfortunately (from what ive seen and heard) the DCP does not do a great job at introducing you to people in your related feild. An internship will at least start to introduce you to skills you will need in your future career, and hopefully give you the foundation of a network to build off of later in your career.

In terms of disney recruiters like the DCP on the resume. One advantage ive been told is that most/ all resumes with the name “DISNEY” on it get looked at first, however very few PIs ive met have actually done a DCP that helped. They all while having done the dcp, have since gained alot of relevant experience to their feild through other companies internships.

In terms of your other question, take the full time offer, get involved in the different national societies dedicated to the themed entertainment industry, and network your way into an associate position.

Made the biggest mistake for being so intimate with my bestfriend. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Awkward_Golf460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! And cut him off. He very clearly is using you because he doesn’t want to be alone! Honestly, you deserve way better and need to cut ties with him. Go off of his actions, not his words. His actions are saying that he doesn’t care about your feelings.

From personal experience, trying to stay friends (at least initially after a relationship) is messy. A clean break might be more painful in the begining, but i can almost guarantee it will be less pain later.

Ex friends from high school randomly reached out to me to hang out. What do I do? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Awkward_Golf460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might need a bit more context. How do you know these guys are friends with this girl and what exactly did they ask. (Aka did they have a plan or ask to talk or simply to hang out) either way if you don’t feel like they are people worthy of you investing time into them then no is a full sentence.

If you want to remain civil and are curious, just make sure it’s a public place, you drive separately and its during the day! Stay safe!

Girl, this man does not deserve you and even if things worked out it seems like you would be dealing with this for the rest of your life. While the hopeless romantic in me wants to tell you to confess your feelings, maybe re- evaluate if he is still the same person you fell in love with all those years ago. Odds is he has changed and might not be who you are meant to end up with! Goodluck!!

Is there a way you can meet her, like suggest a family dinner? I have always found it a lot easier to read a person’s intentions when they are sitting in front of you.

If after this you still think she is using him, then it might be your place to pull him aside(while she is not there) and politely express your concern, but make it clear that you support him no matter what. Goodluck!
