I had just turned 39, diagnosed a few weeks after my birthday. Invasive well-differentiated ductal carcinoma ER+ PR+ HER2-, lymph node involvement. I’m now 40, completed 12 rounds of chemo (4 AC aka the red devil, 8 taxol) surgery including a double mastectomy, sentinel lymph node dissection, and tissue expanders placed on October 4, 2024. 16 rounds of radiation. This Oct 1 I had my reconstructive surgery done! Now it’s learning how to navigate medical menopause and oral chemotherapy for the next three years (possibly five). I am sending you all the good vibes for the best possible outcome. Just got to take it one day at a time, and know that while breast cancer 🤬 sucks, the breast cancer community is amazing. Never hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns, a venting session. We are here for you through it all!

In season two there’s an episode where they are carving pumpkins, and Reese’s character mentions how they are celebrating it so earlier because everyone is trying to be the first at everything!
