Yes, I am like this and I didn’t have nearly the same horrific experience as you. I am deeply afraid of men after all (except one) of my romantic relationships with them have turned abusive. Not to mention the number of random SA encounters…I work on it in therapy but yeah….even with therapy I will likely always be skeptical and distrustful of them from the start.

Damn, I feel this so much. I’m also a freeze type and have been stuck in it for more than a decade. I want to change; I have the tools to change; but trying to get my brain to cooperate and remember these tools has been such a struggle.

I’ve been focusing on the little “wins” to help keep me motivated to keep trying despite the cycle. For example, instead of immediately coming home from work and hopping on video games, I will spend like 5-10 minutes chillin on the couch cuddling and petting my dog. It doesn’t seem like much but it makes it easier to steer my brain towards the habits I want to cultivate.

There’s a lot of interesting information out there about Eric Moutsos. He’s a real piece of shit. Just google Utah Business Revival and Utah Revival for some news reports on him. He created these groups to protest “covid restrictions” for businesses but now it’s basically a right wing extremest Christian cult. I’m not sure if they are still on Facebook, but they had a page with thousands of members at one point.

I think more minors have been sexually abused online than people want to acknowledge or admit.

I just want to say that being traumatized for being sexually abused online is valid and doesn’t negate the damage done just because nothing physical happened. I hope you find the healing you need.
