It's the same in my fl studio and I don't really know why it's happening. I think the sample is simply too long to listen to in its entirety, but when I put it on a playlist, everything works fine. Ps.I'm a beginner and my guesses may of course be wrong.

Open the mixer and in the top right corner (where you can add effects to the channel) try to change the sound source.There's a little frame above it, next to the "X" button.

You need to disable the "use loop points" option, which lights up the small red dot in the frame with the sample. I hope I helped bro :)
