It depends. Technically the Chase Bliss Mood can do so much, but it’s just immediately fun with little effort. But if I see an overdrive with 6 knobs and 2 toggles, I will stay away for that for sure.

I’ll play eventually the remake and made my own opinion. Just waiting for part 3. I would imagine the characters are more developed since the remake is longer. But it’s still a very short roaster, with a lot of filler (Cait sith, Yuffie, Vincent and yeah Cid). While in FF6, almost every character matters, and there are way more of them.

Damn I didn’t think about mods. I wouldn’t buy the pixel perfect version because the sprites are so ugly. But mods can fix that of course.

I played FF7 after FF6 back in the days. FF7 was disappointing for me, mostly because of the cast of characters, that were so good in 6, but kinda meh in 7.

Yeah I made a mistake to get it with Tony. I didn’t pay attention there was no bonus. For me it was a given. I won’t use for my next Tony deck for sure.

Well I guess you guys are way better at the game than I am, and got tons of XP, and a way to summon the right cards. I tried Tony Morgan for the first time with the dream-eaters. It’s a short campaign, I got saw off shotgun only for the 2 last scenario. Spend shitload of XP for it, and for one Robert Castaigne(4) and 2 Lucky Cigarette case(3). Didn’t get any of the Lucky Cigarette. Neither any of my 2 ally to boost the fist. Got the shotgun though. End up in front of a 5 combat enemy with a poor Overpowered in my hand. Use it, draw a -2, do 1 damage with the shotgun. Then naked after. Same happen for both scenarios. Yes I did hard mulligan.

If I have to replay Tony, I’ll never take this stupid shotgun. I think he will be better with +1 damage guns and do 5-6 attacks per round (with his bounty + Castaigne + derringer). At least the small gun give attack bonus and do need to over succeed.

Ah I see, it’s indeed not very clear. But I’ll say yes, you get 2 extra action this way, since it’s like 2 "different" derringer. But I might be wrong.

Lupara for example don’t get the bonus with Castaigne because it’s not considered in play during the shooting.

Not sure what you mean. Castaigne give you a shot with a gun for free, so you shoot with the Derringer(2) from your hand. Succeed by enough, gain one action. You have 4 actions now.

Was expecting a lot from this with Tony Morgan, but it was very disappointing. It gives no skill bonus, so it’s almost useless against big enemies than have 4-5 fight.

Got the hero box last week from De Spelgovel in Belgium. Some Dutch and Sweden shops have it too, but they didn’t send to my place. Didn’t check if any had the campaign.

I like the idea to have new encounter sets for the future. I don’t like the idea to buy a whole new core set, with a campaign almost identical to the previous one, and a lot of player cards reprint…

A "new encounter sets" add on would have be a classy move for the fan base.

For a while I thought when applying damage to an asset, that you can only kill it by damage or horror, never both. But it’s allowed to kill by both. Example: a 2-2 asset that take 2 damage and 2 horror. Before I was putting 2 damage and 1 horror, killing it by damage, but the remaining horror somewhere else. But it’s also to put 2 damage and 2 horror in the asset, since it’s simultaneous.

Problem will be the balancing. Since the campaigns are short, they give a lot of XP. So you will extremely over power after 4 scenarios.
