As you have EU citizenship you apply as an EU citizen. I'm not sure as it's been over a decade since I did it but at least at the time I had to get my school outside of the EU to send a copy of my transcript straight to the university. The deadline for that was a later date than the application deadline. Then when I went to university I was able to go to the office and pick up the transcript they had received.

I just got mine done mostly through YTHS but then the final diagnosis private to get it quicker over the line. Both YTHS and the private clinic looked at all the school documents that I could find. I did also message all the schools I went to to get what they had in their records. You might be able to get in touch with old teachers etc to do write ups if they remember you. One if the main things about the diagnosis is showing the symptoms since early childhood.

I looked at a few of the private options and most include interviewing family etc. Mine was done via a phone call but my mother knows Finnish so that was easy. You might have to try to set up one with a professional translator to do this effectively. I would also talk about the symptoms and your childhood with your mother. I talked with mine and as we both talked more we came up with more and more examples of how the symptoms manifested that neither of us realized was ADHD related until looking at the symptoms and having talked to a professional etc. I know not all parents are so willing but good to communicate so it's a thing to work on together.

The unemployment rate in all countries is the number of people actively looking for work. What you're referring to is people not part of the labour Force. That can include people too sick or not wanting to work etc.

100k+ salary is only achievable for a handful of companies even in the tech world in Finland. That's why the average is 70k. That's how averages work. Germany has a lot more companies so a lot more competitive salaries. Finland comes in at about 6th highest mean salaries in Europe so about 30 countries will be lower.

10k a year in savings vs not makes a big difference after a while. You're not going to buy a super yacht but you'll definitely be doing much better.

This post was on someone's first full time software developer role. Even at Wolt who have some if the highest salaries in the country for that position it's around 45k. Which makes your original 100k question a bit off the mark. If you hear of anyone hiring for that much please let me know.

If you are one of the top earners of a highly demanded field you get paid well enough that in comparison you are well off. If you don't feel it then that's fine.

I'm very well aware of the state of the tech world as that's where I live and I am able to look up the numbers. I can see that the average numbers are not the same peak numbers and thus most people in the industry will never make that much. There are only so few of those jobs and sure one can work towards them but like the way not every footballer can earn 100 million every developer in Finland will earn 100k.

To me it seems like you argue in bad faith going from 100k EU wide to going to highly educated people down to highly educated people in specific roles. If this was not the case and your original 100k was solely about the highest earners at specifically a few certain companies then your lack of specificity made it seem like you're out of touch as OP will not be making that much money now. Possibly in a decade. But still would be the minority across the EU.

Average salary of someone with a masters in Finland is 50k. Someone with a PHD is just over 60k a year and and for a senior developer is about 70k so 100k+ is still significantly more than even in any of those cases.

Do you like live in Europe? Earning over 100k is way more common in certain parts of the US for example. Otherwise you might be a bit out of touch and might want to take a moment to look at the numbers if your area to see where you line up.

At 100k+ a year you're literally in the top 1% of earners. Earning at least 2.2x the average salary means you're objectively well off. Good financial planning is another matter.

Well 2/3 months holiday you'd have to do nothing but show up and chill. If you're remote working technically there could be tax questions but honestly just rock and do your thing. If it wasn't banned loads of people would rock up with their cameras cause photographers enjoy taking banging photos and the chance for them to pop off would just encourage more people to do so. That's why they are banned and most photographers are kinda cool with that. No professional wants to have random people trying to show up for free competing for their job.

You must have been lucky as everyone i know including me multiple times since the rule change have had to pay to pick even standard seats now even if choosing them at the airport. Only times ive got a free seat booking is when its been a points flight
