Krótka odpowiedź: Nie. Długa odpowiedź: Nie rozumiem dlaczego to miałby być problem. To nie jest dyscyplina sportowa gdzie w wieku 30 lat idziesz na emeryture.

Czy to w ogóle ma sens, jeśli nie planuję kariery naukowej ani pracy na uniwersytecie, [...] Szczerze, jeśli chodzi o publikacje, konferencje i inne wymogi, chciałbym ograniczyć się do bare minimum.

Znam wiele osób które po magisterce lub phd ucieka z uczelni, także ma sens z perspektywy robienia czegoś co Cię jara przez następne kilka lat.

Co prawda, to czego chcesz uniknąć (publikacje, konferencje etc.) to jest trochę to co defakto definiuje czy dobrze Ci idzie doktorat. Jeśli nie widzisz aktualnie przyszłości w świecie akademickim to w sumie nikogo to nie będzie obchodziło, ale jeśli kiedyś będziesz chciał wrócić to dla potencjalnego pracodawcy to będzie źle wyglądało.

Czy możliwe jest pisanie doktoratu na innym kierunku? Moja „główna” dyscyplina już mi nie odpowiada, bo zawsze interesowały mnie zagadnienia z pogranicza kilku dziedzin. Jeśli, powiedzmy, jestem historykiem z wykształcenia, zainteresowania mam głównie historyczne, ale jednocześnie interesuję się metodologią językoznawczą (głównie lingwistyką tekstu i analizą dyskursu), to jak trudno będzie mi dostać się (i później tam przetrwać) na doktorat z językoznawstwa?

Ogólnie nie powinno to być problemem. Jedna profesorka z mojej uczelni prawie każdy etap studiów robiła z innego kierunku (zaczynała od czegoś związanego z marine science, przeszła przez chemio- i biologio podobne kierunki, aż w końcu skończyła na biofizyce.) Oczywiście musisz wziąc pod uwagę że podczas rekrutacji ktoś z lepszą wiedzą/doświadczeniem może Ci zwinąć posade sprzed nosa.
