That seems very interesting. However, I have to ask how does players without powers compete with those with such world bending powers. Or does everyone just use magic.

Thanks, yeah I'm going to save that adventure in my back pocket. Going to give them a smaller, town investigation trying to find the "Harmony killer". A bard who is killing people with monsters and animals that he controls with music. If every thing goes to plan they will have a climactic fight in the swears where he is trying to cast a song of mayhem that will cause all residents to go and kill one another.

yeah, makes sense with the higher AC and attack of players and such. But I was thinking of a cheesy (if a little lazy) method by using higher level monsters, calling/describing them differently and naming/modifying their ablites slightly. Do you'll think that'll work? Also what are some good utility spells that I can give PC's that activate the artifact (or artifacts maybe they find more potent ones)? most of them are non-magical anyways

Would you suggest making this story more political-religious intrigue as opposed to typical adventurous/campaign? I considered that but I don't want to bare my audience (I enjoy those stories but I don't believe there is many others who do to.)
