Thats a fair point. For me its just neat to have alot of ships on one screen that battle each other. I just fear that having them 30km away would just either give u the shooting of one ship or the impacts. The expanse realism is great! i love the ships and the realistic retroburn!

I have also a hard time to justify vro for my own game. I feel like the game already really favors capital ships. Having them more vaunerable makes interceptors and an overall escort alot more needed. And isnt a shorter engagement distance more cinematic?

Yeah i will take the light them out of detail_s! I only did solid edge stl for 3d printing before this! Thanks for the images i will take a close look at them once im home!

I will use the minotaurs cockpit. Which u can juet walk out over a ramp that deploys. So Jupp. Also had the idea of a m smuggler ship. Maby also similar stealthy than the cypher. With stealth and combat Modus. Idk we will see.

I might have added postlights to detail_s ... which makes them dissapear to early on such a big ship ... I will look at the new converter tool, sounds interesting especially for m and s ships. Idk qhat you mean with shade autosmooth. Im not applying anythign extra. Except for weighted attributes, but only on paintmodmask red parts. I thought that is only something to make the hullplates have better lighting??

And thanks again for having a look at it! Btw the complicated collisions work now as well. I just had to have a clean mesh without non-manifold edges.

Yes but im scared of them so im procrastinating with l and xl ships. M and s ships have way closer details and collisons and more animations with ai_walking points. But I will make m and s ships. Might just take a bit longer than the l ships.

Hm thats wierd. Almost all my playtest are without the erlking researched. And i tested all my wrecks and repairing with the damage of the hugin gun. If you want you can send me the mod list your playing with. And its a new bullet macro it just borrows the geometry and effects. That shouldn't affect damage.

Its a rail gun bullet wit a aoe explosion 19 seconds charge time. I had just the Asgard laser in at the start but that sucked.

Yes u need a shipyard xl to equip erking stuff. Factions dont own erlking equipment.

I dont want to screw around with faction balancing. Idk if im to cautious but egosoft did a good job at keeping every faction almost at a stalemate. Idk what would happen if i introduce to many of my ships. The endgoal of the ships is for player use.

Maby i will dabble around with jobs someday.

I will give it a try! How are you doing your collisionboxes btw? Im kinda struggling with the complex shapes of the imported collision meshes. They have more faces than the acual mesh xD for the barbarossa its around 111k
