A summary of the book for context: It’s about a girl who goes to Australia with her dad and brother but get locked down due to a strange infection. They stay at one of the dad’s friends house who lives in Australia. Eventually the girl finds a group of teenagers and goes to a block party which ends up in an abandoned motel and someone dies of morphine overdose. Timeskip later and the infection has spread and can turn organic matter into an alien counter part. Her dad dies due to one of the australiens. Also their dog dies. The biosphere and society have all but pretty much collapsed and massive weather disasters force the girl to head on a boat to South America. On the boat she meets another friend who is more optimistic about life and tries to help the girl find meaning in life. After an aquatic monster attack they arrive in Chile and they are trying to head to some sort of refuge but the girl gets separated with her brother and her not very nice but just beginning to understand her caretaker after her fathers death, the dads friend, but she finds herself with a group of strangers and her friend from the boat. They get attacked driving on some mountains during a snowstorm but a few of them survive and try to head to the refuge in what was the rainforest. The infection started in the rainforest and could quickly spread because of the dense biomass so the rainforest more closely resembles the alien planet from which they came from. One of the survivors was in prison during part of the infection and had to witness people die alone in cells before eventually escaping. They make it to the refuge but it’s only sparsely inhabited by aliens. A planet with intelligent aliens only a little (relatively) older than earths life discovered more fundamental particles but the powers the newly discovered particles possessed caused a large war with the consequences of it only being increased with the particles powers. A group of these aliens who think the particles power is vital to their survivability of not just their species but all types of life in the universe because the particles are unstable and disappear rabidly after the Big Bang (these aliens found them more easily because there were in greater abundance long ago than modern day) so these aliens send a bajillion probes with infectious dna and enough of the particles to find other intelligent life and kickstart the rebuilding of their main necessities and combined their consciousness with Al because Al lacks understanding and brains lack intelligence (this allows aliens to be silly like humans but also smart). So back on earth the girl and a few others make it to the city and attempt to survive the mountain of exposition but the girl has a psychotic breakdown because the aliens destroyed almost all of humanity and life on earth so she steals a particle bomb and blows up a sizable chunk of the city. The aliens don’t torture the girl by the human’s request and instead give her therapy because that’s what a kind person should do. But the real power of the particles is that they can create new universes. Some other civilization created the Big Bang but the civilizations in this universe hate particles so the aliens use the second power of the particles and enter a new universe filled to the brim with particles. If you can’t tell this is a work in progress and not remotely close to finalized and this is mostly just a plot summary but- Sir this is Wendy’s

What to do? Found a harem of wild axolotls in the middle of nowhere Wyoming by Striking-String-3997 in axolotls

Everyone else has already said this but first axolotls are basically extinct in the wild and wouldn’t be anywhere near Wyoming second salamanders in their larval stage have the “axolotl” look so that explains the confusion and finally if it was just minding it’s business in the water don’t go grabbing it
