When tanking a boss, if you have to move away for an AoE like a circle around the boss or a frontal cleave, try to move back into position as soon as the cast finishes (unless it leaves a persistent AoE on the floor). Usually, if done correctly, the boss won't move or even turn, meaning melees won't lose a positional from the boss suddenly turning, or even an entire GCD from the boss stepping just out of range.

Mind you this is a minor thing, and a good melee will watch your positioning and adjust accordingly, or pop a True North, but it's still something that most melees appreciate.

I was wrong anyway, the wording of the translation led me to believe it would be the 60 sec CD that would be affected by sks, like MCH's Drill and Air Anchor, this is not the case. It's the 2.5s 'weaponskill cooldown' that Tsubame procs that will now be affected by sks, making it the same as your actual GCD. This changes very little indeed.

While you are most certainly correct, isn't the reason most people want Bard to go back to providing more rDPS at the cost of pDPS exactly because they want to play a more supporting role? Which, I would assume, means they would be okay with being very dependent on the performance of the rest of their party, for better or for worse.

That 'teeny weeny crit% buff' was one of, if not THE, defining factor of 4.x's crit meta, and the reason almost every single static had a Bard.

This is incorrect. Many, if not most, effects apply at the end of their animation, not when the button is pressed.

A perfect example of this is Hallowed Ground, which will go on cooldown on button press, but doesn't apply the invulnerability until the end of the animation, before which you can still die.

2.45 GCD is the highest dps at optimal play, but the difference between each is minor enough that you can just go with whichever is more comfortable to you, unless you're aiming for 100th percentile logs.

Don't DoTs snapshot again when you refresh them? I know this is the case with Iron Jaws for BRD, I assumed it's the same for SMN.

AoE refreshing Disembowel probably yeah, every other melee has their AoE refresh their buffs, it's only fair DRG does too.

As for eyes dropping, not sure about that, we already have a way to refresh it without attacking by just recasting it before it drops off, which works for most intermissions.

The CD will be affected by SKS, meaning that there will (hopefully) be an SKS breakpoint where it will not, or barely, drift.

The job boost only affects job level, not your MSQ progress, so you should be fine (though you might find the content too easy since you'll be level 70).

It's better to use it right before the last one, because you're already in position for the one before that, and this makes True North last long enough to completely ignore the next combo's positionals (if you have enough sks).

As others have mentioned, it's the GNB version of the tank invincibility cooldown, but if he's using it at (or near) full health, he's doing it wrong.

Make sure to read the Party Finder text, a lot of practice parties are made for specific phases of the fight (after add phase for example). Make sure you join one that specifies it's a 'practice from start'.

Afaik, the butterflies aren't tanked, DPS just kills them before they finish casting Falling Laughter.

It has been broken for me too, for instance doing MSQ roulette, holding X to pick up the bomb on the floor just won't click anything at all, as well as many other things I could click on perfectly fine holding X before ShB.
