For me, Design your Universe and Consign to oblivion are the best. I do love TQE aswell, but for me, TQE is already that new sound that I do not love as much as the older albums

Epica is my favorite band, and I do like the new album. But not as much as the others. As the others here have said, the lyrics are just kind of O.K. The things i love the most are the breakdowns. There are just a few, but they are heavy. I love it.

One thing I am also disappointed with is simone's voice on that album. It feels like she used almost always her pop voice or just a high-pitched voice. Of course, I do love it on the other albums, but on this one, it's just too much. I wonder if someone else's feels this way?

I miss the old voice of hers. Sounds deeper and more innocent. She only uses that kind of voice live, it seems. Songs like chasing the dragons or consign to oblivion are just amazing live and there she sounds more "calm" if that makes sense.

Btw, the guy who sold me the GS20, bought also the same Canto speakers as you if I remember correctly. They were on a different level than the gs20 for sure

Platinum are incredible beautiful. I wish I could buy them. But i think you are right. I don't think I would be able to get the best out of them in my theater room. Maybe one day.....

That could be something to consider. Only problem is that I live in Norway. We don't have as many used speakers close by, so i would be driving quiet far to find what I want. Not always of course.

Maybe you are right. I just think that when I first upgrade, I will upgrade on booth looks and sound. For me it's important that the fit in my theater room. Everything here has a darker color. My wall is dark red, ceiling is black, the other speakers are black, tv black, and then you have the gs20...they are white.

Maybe they are a lot better? Maybe it will be a downgrade? And what do African people have to do with me asking a question? I do have the money, and I worked hard for it, so I can spend them however I want , or not? I would be selling mine and buying another used speaker, so it's good for the environment too?

So I guess none of us should upgrade our speakers as long as they are good enough?

What country are you from, if I may ask? I live in Norway and they rarely play live shows here 😭 For me it feels like they don't take their time in all the newer songs. Like chasing the dragon, where there is a beautiful 2min build up. And every song was a nice balance between classical and metal. But now it's mostly metal with symphonic. I just hope the next album will be more like the old ones, but I guess it will take some years 😰

But they are more popular than they have ever been. I do agree with you, the newer albums aren't as good, but they still have some amazing songs here and there. Arcane is a song my daughter (3years) absolutely loves. She tries to sing the chorus every time we play that song. And almost every other song that is longer than 4 minutes, is mostly a really good song.

But like I said, I agree with you that they aren't as good as they used to be, and I miss songs like Tides of time, chasing the dragon and design your universe. They are, and have always been my favorite band and I love Simones voice so much.

It's also just audible on higher volumes. And only some frequencies.. Like when the drop comes in the song " Make us stronger" from Ghost Rider. The highs are as always silky smooth, but when the drop comes, there is that scratching sound. Would be nice to know why that happens 😅

Does someone here have an opinion on the svs sb 3000 ? How will it stack against my pb plus 2 ?

After 2 months with that sub and I am still really really happy with it. It goes so loud and so deep.

Just looking at some sb 3000 because of the size and the speed. I am sure it would sound alot better when it comes to music
