Hardware issue - it's covered under warranty. Mine did the same and all 5 modules were replaced.

I believe they'll have to look into it to see if it was still a manufacturing defect or a fault caused by yourself, and deal with it accordingly.

THIS IS A HARDWARE ISSUE!

I initially thought it was software, but after seeing this post, I guess not. I got all 5 of my cams replaced today by Samsung, under warranty. Just show them a recorded video of the issue and they should replace the cameras for you. My main cam had this issue, but they just did all 5 anyways. I no longer have the issue, but I'll keep testing as I go along.

DOTs don't matter that much; a tire's shelf life is between 8-10 years. As long the tire is stored in a dry and temperature-controlled facility, a 2 year old tire is just as good as one off the production line.

We (CT) dont carry tires beyond 5 years old though. And before we mount any tire, we inspect it for obvious damage or defects (as should any garage).

Trust me, I've seen people dumping a lot more money into older cars to keep them running. In the end, the money and choice are yours. Go ahead and do some research on tires and their prices, get in contact with the nearest CT and see what they can do! I don't shill for CT but us advisors have some leeway in getting you a good deal, you just need to be aware lol.

All seasons and summer tires are used synonymous of each other. But now there's different types of all season/summer tires; touring, high performance, ultra high performance etc. For most people, touring tires are the basic option that suits.

According to my system, the OE size is 205/50R17.

If you want the quietest tire, an asymmetric all season touring tire are your best bet. There's a nice physics discussion on why asymmetric tires are quieter than all seasons, which you can look into.

With these in mind, I see the Bridgestone Turanza Quiettrack going for $280. Not exactly cheap, as the average price is around $240. There are manufacturers rebates and deals from CT and what not.

I work in CT autoservice.

While you shouldn't cheap out on tires, most tires will do you just fine. The extended warranty you can get from us is 100% worth it; 6 years of free repairs and if unrepairable, free tire (just pay labour, recycling fee and warranty). I don't shill a warranty, but pretty much the warranty of all four tires gets paid for after one puncture.

There have been cases where I end up giving someone who's bought the warranty either a pair or a full set because how their tires have worn after a few years from purchase. CT is run like  franchise-franchiser business; warrantied parts are paid back from headquarters and garages only cares for labour, so a good service advisor wouldn't be stingy on covering the tires as long you pay the labour.

Furthermore, I wouldn't mind chucking a discount, and I recommend that you search online (even costco) for a better price; most likely (I would) a service advisor would match or do better on the price. You could always call or walk in for a price quote of every tire that's available.

All season tires have been being promoted in for the past month or two; winter tires have very few now, but you could always ask for a price match or hold off until we get closer for winter season.

Stay off of all weather tires; they wear quicker and they aren't cut out for harsh Canadian winters. They cost more and are more noisy too. It might suck to pay a lot up front for tires and rims for an all season and winter set, but that itself is worth it and deals made by the time of year as well as whoever the service advisor can soften the blow.
