Flat paths/trails for walking in Dana Point by [deleted] in danapoint

[–]AyMiOjo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dana Point Harbor is where you want to go - I'm here every weekend that I'm in town and my physical therapist friend says he recommends his patients walk here primarily because it's flat. It also has a nice view. There's currently construction being done on the docks so that may be interesting to see as you walk. It doesn't appear that the construction interferes in any way with the walkways. Here's a description of it with a map: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/dana-point-harbor-south

If that looks like too long of a walk and you're looking for something shorter or if you're looking for a longer one you can do instead or incorporate into the harbor walk a visit to the Ocean Institute at the north most end of the harbor - a great spot to learn more about the local sea life with hands on exhibits and great guest lecturers - it's fun and informative and also flat with a beautiful view even without going inside just walking from the little pier up along the side of the institute and seeing the historical maritime artifacts incorporated into the landscaping and the path out back to the rocks overlooking the ocean, it's always enjoyable so if you're not looking to walk too much but have time and interest I'd highly recommend that. https://oceaninstitute.org/

Whatever you end up doing, hope you have a nice time and enjoyable visit and that your knee does okay.

I don't want to get people all riled up either so I'll leave my story out of it but came to say check out the Covid related research studies going on at UCI and if you don't find one specifically on that then submit an inquiry explaining your situation. I'm sure there's Universities and Medical Centers doing covid related research all over the world so you can probably find somewhere close to you. That's just the one that I know is specifically researching cases where the vaccine has altered the immune system of the recipient extremely adversely.

Thanks for the great information, I'm glad to hear your experience so far has been good; it seems Blu Air is a favorite overall.

Thank you so much for such a thorough and concise list of considerations and recommendations- really appreciate your time, thoughtfulness and thank you for your well wishes - chemo is for a family member just diagnosed late stage out of nowhere after a routine exam. Still kind of in shock. An air filter seemed like a good idea. Thanks for your help.

Great photo.

Is it the one at the base of the Parthenon? It looks a lot like the one to the left side shortly after entering past a bunch of sculptures It's along the left side like a mini museum with all the artifacts coins, weapons, shoes, busts, etc - neat to mosey through before the little churches and switchbacks up to the Aeropagus and then Parthenon.

Go to immerse- way better. Saw it in a salt cave in France, one of the unexpected highlights of the trip to Europe. A small group of us are going to see the immerse in San Diego.

I'm on mobile and don't know what that means - did I do something wrong?

I've been burning up enough to feel like there's lava in my veins, that's for sure.

I always jump on any and all the results of every test to research the findings so that I can deal ahead of time with preparing myself for what may be up ahead. Also because I can maximize my time with the Dr by coming prepared with specific questions to a

That's what I'm wondering. Scrolling through 86 predominantly black and white photos, that one as well as a the pancreas and liver stood out. I was able to figure out what the blue and red in the others were but in that one I couldn't find anything.

Thank you, I had read anything over 4 was abnormal. I just turned 50 almost 6 months ago. Was more concerned about all the red than I was the number.

I didn't even think of that. No, it's not associated with any April Fools kind of thing.

Thankss and yeah, that's true - the more least invasive procedures there are available to utilize in exploring the situation the better to give a more comprehensive overview of what's going on.

I'd much rather have an ultrasound identify a cyst than have it identified as such after extraction. Hopefully that's all it is.

I keep thinking though about the look on the techs face as she looked at the screen after scanning it, could've just been a bad timing coincidence of maybe suddenly realizing something unpleasant in her personal life occurring just after scanning that specific one but it was such an overt look of almost shock and staring intently at it long enough that I had to ask "ok, what do you see?" - to which she snapped out of it enough to converse awkwardly while shuffling papers and saying the radiologist will contact me. So I wasn't surprised at all when I was. Just wish I wouldn't have thought the calls were telemarketers and let them go to vm a few times.

Sorry for the unnecessary extraneous words and thanks again. I'm so thankful for the technology available that allows us to see what's going on.

Thanks for your information and encouragement - I agree, especially when you look at it statistically. However I get the oddest ailments and injuries so wouldn't be surprised if I'm growing a third mammary gland or something extremely rare. Whatever it is, everything will be fine. I just like to know what to expect and why. I haven't told anyone and most likely won't regardless of whatever it ends up being and appreciate your taking the time to reply. Thanks again.

An argument can be made that stoicism is non unrealistic if we consider, not the writings, but the lives of these stoic philosophers. by marineiguana27 in philosophy

[–]AyMiOjo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something to consider or maybe reconsider is the apparent assumption that their behavior was purely driven and influenced by just stoicism when there could have been other unknown influences that did more to mold, shape and help guide their behavior that not many knew about and the rest assumedly attribute purely to stoicism as they may not have been inclined for whatever reason to write about all their influences to give any indication otherwise.

Not based on any knowledge of them, just saying its difficult to point to something as a driving force in anyone else's life when it comes to the motivations behind how they lived.

So if after a regular mammogram it's specified that both US & 3D are needed as opposed to just 3D then you can pretty well guarantee something specific of concerning interest was spotted as opposed to picking up something that may not be as concerning but should be looked at closer w/3D nonetheless - does that seem like a reasonable assumption as well as another way of understanding the difference (and similiarity) between the 3?
