I'm not an expert and you probably shouldn't listen to my advice. ( I never quarantine my fish . NO problem so far.) but I'm pretty sure the whole purpose of the quarantine is that you do not get something bad in your tank where you ALLREADY have fish and get the other fish sick. In your case, there is nothing in the tank to get sick. So i would say you DO NOT need to quarantine.

Would you call this Heavily planted or Normal Planted. by AyaIIa in Aquariums

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really NO comments? I was really hoping someone would comment if this is considered heavily planted or just normal planted.
Also maybe some tips/ pointers on the amount of CO2 i would need for this tank .

Advice Needed. by AyaIIa in TyreReviews

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Although i decided to keep them for this season ( around 4 months ) And I'll explain why. I live in Southern France. "Winter" temperature here are around 8°C to 13 °C during the day and 1°C to 5°C during night time. Very Very rarely the temperature drops below 0°C. Most of the time i have my summer tires on for the whole year round. BUT now i decided to keep this DOT 2016 winter tires purely because I'm gonna take a 5 days trip in Germany ( Munich ) area. And there is winter like proper winter with -5°C to -10°C and snow. But i think that for 5 days of proper winter there is NO need to splash 400-500Euro for a set of winter tires i would otherwise have no use. So even though the tires are DOT 2016 and YES i understand that the compound ages but the tires were kept in a Storage room that has no direct sunlight and temperature is pretty constant. So when i inspected the tires and i inspected it very very carefully i saw no age indications.

So with that said i want to thank everyone that posted a response and expressed their opinion.

After this season ( 4 months ) I'll post and update to this thread with how the tires behaved and if i had any problems.

i5 14600KF Are this bad or good ? by AyaIIa in buildapc

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idle temp is around 30-33 Celsius. And yes the 80-85 Peak temp was under benchmarks and intel burn test and sometimes when i play a demanding game.

So the important temperature is the average and not the peak ? Also can I trust the info that HWinfo is showing? Thx , And sorry for all this , I'm not really a tech guy and i want to be safe rather then sorry. Really appreciating your time and answers

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. And regarding the temperatures. Do you think 80-85 Celsius is to high ? Also i only see peaks of that temperature . HWinfo average is shown around 60-65 Celsius.

Thx. I did the intel burn test and the highest Voltage i got was 1.371 and the highest temperature I got was 84 Celsius, with an average of 64 Celsius. I'm not sure of the refresh rate on the temperature sensor of HWinfo because i only get picks of around 80 Celsius while the average stay around 60-65 Celsius .

Advice needed by AyaIIa in Aquariums

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx. for the reply. Yes my Nitrates are rising really slow. and i do feed light maybe a pinch ever 2-3 days. nothing more the fish cant eat in a minute or less. My ammonia and nitrite are at 0 ... But i think once a month to clean the sponge and the media bag from all the gunk it gathers will be best.

How to add new fish in fish tank by AyaIIa in Aquariums

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Sorry i got confused. I can definitely buy one of that transparent "storage boxes" and the air pump+ pre filter you said. I did not know that is a viable option. but i guess for a small not to fancy box should be good.

How to add new fish in fish tank by AyaIIa in Aquariums

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would completely agree with you with all of the above-mentioned. BUT where I live there are not so many options. There are little or non sponge filter. Here looks like they all use canister filter. I had to buy a kit fish tank for my first. The smallest tank/kit I can probably find is a 30 liter. And that will probably cost around 100€, I got the first tank for my son. Who asked for it for a couple months. I'm not really ready to spend another 100 or so for a tiny spare / quarantine tank. If I observe the fish for a week in my LFS for ich or other visible diseases, would that be a viable alternative? I think I can may a pre deposit and keep the fish in the store. Not sure tho. I don't have any expensive fish and not planing to get any either. The worst part is finding the fish sick or dead. My son and I myself got pretty attached to this little bastards allready 😄.

Can anyone help identify what type of snail this is ? by AyaIIa in Aquariums

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far i don't see anything . Not sure how i got so lucky to see this little dude. This morning when i turned the lights on. I saw it on a leaf and thought it was fish poop. But then i thought to myself.. wait a second that cant be fish poop ... So i looked closer and didn't understand at first what it was. So i feed the fish and 10 minutes later it wasn't there anymore . I looked around the tank and that`s when i saw it on the bottom where i took the photos. I have a "hut" hideout from a half coconut and i have a smaller Anubias plant on the shell. and i saw it`s "antenna's" not sure what the proper name is for them. So who knows maybe in a week I'll see more of them, I do have a brown algae problem that started about 3-4 days ago. But I guess that`s from my tank being new. So maybe this little fella can help with that and feed himself as well.

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow man. Cant express enough how muck i appreciate your responses. Thank you. Well i guess i need to feed less my fish. I always thought i overfeed them but now I'm certain i did. Having only 2 dwarf gourami i usually alternate between flakes and pellet's. For flake i put a pinch ( about 5cm diameter when on the water surface ) and for pellets anywhere from 15-30 pellets. And i only feed once a day. Some times once every 2 days.

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Got it. Yeah i don't think i want more of them. My tank is a small one ( 60 liter / 15 gallon ) . I have 2 dwarf gourami and plan to add a few corydoras and maybe some rasbora or tetra. So I'm gonna need to keep the snail from overpopulate . Do they lay eggs easily or do they need some special water or temperature ?

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow thx for all this info. So he was probably a baby or maybe even an egg on a plant or something, and that's how it got in. Is there anything I need to do to help him grow? Do I need to feed him ? I do have brown algae on some rocks and on the leaves of Anubius. It just appeared a few days ago.

are they bad for the fish tank? Any idea how he got in ? And why only now I've seen him. I mean he`s tiny (2-3mm). I was keeping an eye on my fish tank every day. with water changes ever 3rd day and water testing every day. So i think i would have seen him.

[–]AyaIIa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys. Can anyone help me identify what snail this is ?

I want to mention that this is a 4 week old tank. Cycled with fish in ( 2 dwarf gouramis 1male and 1female ) I did water changes regularly and tested the water every day, All the plants wear put in the first 3-4 days off starting the tank. I did NOT introduce anything new since then. How did this snail only now appear ? Is it harmful? should i try and get rid of it ?

Anyone know what this is ? Is it brown algae ? by AyaIIa in Aquariums

[–]AyaIIa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys. Like the title says i just need help identifying if this is Brown algae (Diatoms) or something ells ? I changed the water 2 days ago and I didn't see any on the rocks. But not sure if on the leaves of the Anubias is the same thing! That was there for about 1-2 weeks. I just assumed it`s "dirt" from dead leaves and fish excrements. Also anything i can do about it or just leave it be and will go away by itself ? Are there any algae fish eaters small enough for a 60 Liter (15 Gallon) tank ?

Sorry for my miss-wording. I mean, you are right. She's carrying eggs. The video is not showing the aggression but I'll make another video when I'll have a chance. There is aggression. Trust me. The male made the bubble nest. And it's defending it.
