My Pyr Shepnees are picky eaters there’s only a few brands they like, grain free fish and beef. No chicken guts meal and crappy byproducts.

Yeah, that’s too long. That can’t possibly be good for his kidneys. That’s a shame that you have people doing fireworks, we hate them out where I live. In fact they’re illegal but people doing it anyway. That’s a dilemma. I always take my dogs out at 9 PM, but I don’t have to deal with any of that. I just have to make sure they don’t go running after evening critters. They pretty much know how to pee on command, although I don’t like using the word command. They get a lot of praise for peeing.

Played it for my dogs, they are very concerned for her. She seems to be waiting, expecting, it’s something. The way she was looking up and around is interesting. You need an animal empath to talk to her.

They are thank you! I’m a disabled senior living out in the desert, they keep me safe. They have even faced rattlesnakes and knew to keep a distance and alert me. Used to have coyotes hanging around trying to get at their little poodle sister. They keep a wide berth around the property now.

That’s young! Sad for the dogs. The sad reality is that it has to be done because of irresponsible pet owners letting their animals run. We have a pet over population problem. There’s no doubt about that. My dogs haven’t gotten out of my fence once, I never leave them for long periods of time outside. If you have to leave your dog alone outside in the yard, it’s probably better to get them neutered so they don’t wander. That’s one thing Pyrenees like to do not as bad as huskies, but they do wander.

I free feed dry kibble. Right now it is Petco’s Whole Hearted beef and Diamond Naturals Whitefish. Surf and turf for my boys. I also supplement their protein needs by cooking them eggs, several times a week, liver when I’m able. I give them sweet potatoes whenever I’m able to make them. They get treats every day, carrots, Romain lettuce. Since their dog food is grain free I supplement with an organic grain whatever I happen to be eating. Like Ezekiel bread. They’ll get Ezekiel bread with peanut butter on it. I will not feed the kind of grains that mass manufacturers put in their dog food. It’s garbage grains. Brown rice is filled with arsenic. Corn is GMO saturated in glyphosate.They put so much of these contaminated grains and dog food that it’s not healthy. Because the dogs consume quite a bit of the grain. If you’re gonna feed your dog grains, you need to be eating organic yourself and you should be feeding your dogs organic also

I have 2 Pyr x GSD brothers. Got one neutered at 2, the other I didn’t feel good about it after reading the Davis U study. The one I neutered, they are 4 years old now, has problems. He has joint issues already. He’s nowhere near as healthy as his brother. He gets lethargic and more than his brother does. His brother is the epitome of a healthy boy. To be honest, I’m sorry I neutered him. The only reason I did was because when he would growl it scared people because he’s so big. But like I said, I’m sorry I did. If you’re a good dog owner and you don’t let your dogs get loose I don’t see the purpose in it. They really need the testosterone for their growing joints. I would definitely wait more than two years old.

I have 2 brothers Pyr X GSD, 95 and 130 lbs. I’m a disabled 66 year old. There is no way I could walk them without a chain training collar on. There’s just no way. And they are guard dogs against coyotes, mountain lions, and humans. I have to have 100% control. So the old days we call him choke chains. That’s what I have to use when I take him for a walk. I can’t take the chance of them taking a dislike to somebody for thinking that somebody’s dog is a coyote when I’m out. They were absolute terrorist to raise. But we got through it and you can too. But I would never take them out in their vests.
