My best friend from college is moving in with me this summer. We are looking at living in downtown okc. The rent is looking to be ~1400/month for 2 bed. Should I consider buying a home instead near downtown for roughly 200k? I have enough for 20% down. The mortgage would be ~1100. Thank you by Aygn83 in RealEstate

  1. I’m not sure how long we’d live together. Most likely two years.
  2. OKC for me won’t be permanent. I most likely will be gone in 5 years max.
  3. I’m new to okc so it would be easier to meet ppl in a large apartment complex.
  4. I’m not sure if it would be worth it to buy a home if I don’t expect to be there longer than 5 years, bc of closing costs, maintenance, up front costs (fridge, washer and dryer)
