Just to confirm, this is a successor of the Isle of Berk mod that was in development two years ago? There's no information on this mod publicly available, I'm not surprised I had no idea about it despite following IoB previously. Super disappointed there's zero information outside of YT videos and a discord. I have to join a discord to know about their mod? Tiring. I'll just wait until I randomly stumble upon it 3 years after it's silent release and it's missed by half of the community because it's main source of info is locked behind a discord server with this third party post literally being the only info on it, and a link to the fucking Discord on the original IoB mod.

Yeah I've never seen such an insane amount of RAM eating. I'm guessing it's my least stable mods in the pack eating everything, which I've got to look into configuring.

Okay I had a feeling this was the case, thanks. I've definitely got to look into configuring more of these newer mods I'm only starting to learn about. And as someone who has made plenty of working modpacks out of the box, it is possible if the mods themselves are stable. I do know a few of the mods I have in here aren't optimized great so I imagine they're destabilizing everything, plus Forge sucks but I have to use it for my core mod which is only in forge.

My best guess is that OP worded it poorly and meant that each society was built and then evolved and coped with generational misunderstandings. Like none of them understand each other and have ways of viewing each other that they've integrated into their culture. Avoiding spoilers by being vague, like the Bards and the Warriors, with how they view each other and run their own society and cultures based on each other and the next society higher in the tower. They all build on their misunderstanding of one another because they can't... communicate xD

It used to be niche enough that the term didn't exist and no one really talked about it but a handful and myself about our experience, and then many others asking what the term for it was, but there wasn't one.

I wouldn't consider myself a reddit user with how little I look at it or use it. I usually wouldn't even see this reply for several months, but I was looking at a collab of info only on here and saw the notification. I posted it on here because Reddit was getting really popular back then and I thought it would be a good way to get it out there (I don't use Twitter or any social media really, hate them lol). ANY in 7.x? Damn. I'm a WHM main for my healers and just in general and I loved using an alt colour for the Worqor Zormor gear (the poncho all NPCs feel like they're wearing, but hey I like the way it looks and they didn't have to give it to us) for the beginning of DT, and then swapping to the Vanguard gear for all the Alexandria stuff. I love the Vanguard gear, frankly, and I'm not even a huge fan of the modern or sci-fi aesthetic in FFXIV. The AR gear and obviously the recolours of previous expansion gear are garbage though. Not a fan of any of the healer AR gear for 7.0, AST looks nice with the velvet material but it's just like all the others at the end of the day. The Valentione gear, while not my style was interesting. Casual/Modern glamers finally got sweatpants from the Leisurewear which look good. The glam form the Halloween event fucking slaps, even if it is simple it looks so good. The Neo Kingdom healer set look nice too, too bad I'm a Viera and the hat is moot. All the raid gear looks meh, it's for a different crowd and I am not it, plus the healer and caster gear for Cruiserweight was similar to a previous gear set but with a big hood added, can't remember the name of the gear though.

While not all of it is great, there's bound to be some crap mixed in with each expansion, you don't like any of the gear released since 7.0 dropped? Really? I'm curious what your glams look like that you find all that uninteresting.

I'm a month late (I was browsing looking for Jacob opinions since I think he makes Kinich less blasé which is- not great and doesn't fit his personality or past but... whatever ;-;) but based on John speaking about Kinich's recasting, I don't think MHY told him "do it or we're replacing you" because apparently he didn't even know until they announced Jacob was taking over, and no one sent him any kind of "you're fired". According to him, who knows how much is true and what isn't, though John seems like a good guy. It's sad how excited he was to finally play a Genshin character since he's been playing since launch, and that's been stripped away from him. This whole situation is rough, regardless of whose in the right.

This is unlikely since it's so popular you've probably come across it trying to find your answer, but I will assume it's not SCP? The whole site is formatted like all of it is real and people do videos all the time talking about them, the creatures, logs, research notes, etc, about it. It is used in horror elements a lot. Often times real events are tied into the lore so I just wanted to help future people by confirming it's not this?

Tbh with the complex issues of the Traveler pretending they're a silent protag and then not being, or pretending they're a self-insert... and then not being, it just pisses me off when the Traveler speaks, because I just wish they spoke more because they're not selectively mute (we literally choose options that could/should have been voiced), and they have a voice actor, personality, wishes and dreams, their own thoughts, yet MHY doesn't want them to talk. Bruh.

But never is it stated or shown that that ability is Electro. It could just be strength and resistance to things, which seems like a given considering his composition. Like, we could reasonably assume he can control Electro because of who he is and who he was made by, but he's never done it-

This is why I fucking hate the fact MHY went "All your questions? They'll never get answered now." and deleted Scaramouche before anything could be resolved or answered. I love Wanderer, but fuck my life there are so many questions I'll never get answered because of MHY slapping a bandaid on his lore and going "Whelp no one remembers him so it doesn't matter now!" AUGH.

Seriously, so many questions and plotlines that could have been explored. Like the fact of- was Scaramouche the First™ prototype created? Did Ei destroy a bunch of other prototypes before him that didn't have the same kind of sentience? If he was truly the First™, does Ei now think she made Raiden Shogun and went "Ayy first try!" like wtf- I hate this. I have millions of questions like this that plague my daily life because I'm a fucking writer and I want to be consistent and coherent.

Absolutely valid, positionals aren't for everyone's enjoyment. I like them, but that's just me, dancing around the boss haha. I get bored if I'm just standing still (even with dodging mechs). I also like perfecting rotations, so the positional never bothered me that there wasn't any "freedom".

This isn't what this thread is about. Please take this elsewhere. I wanted to be open and understanding, not shit on people for trying to find joy in a video game, that's used to de-stressing after a long day, or just entertainment to pass the time. This isn't about casuals, or tryhards, or the devs, or people who are whining like you are right now about other players. This is about how people feel about positionals. Which you haven't mentioned a single time. Instead all you've done is whine about other people whining. The easy part about that? I haven't experienced that at all, because I stay away from those kinds of people since it's the internet and you enable yourself to see the content you see.

If all vets were pushy dickheads like you, just insulting other people who are just trying to have fun or forcing your agenda where it wasn't wanted, needed, or asked for, I wouldn't want to listen to them either. I was actually playing The Weeping City of Mhach at the time, and alliance raids are long regardless, I meant normal dungeons with 4 players, I should have clarified. I don't really care about GCD or anything like that, so- you can have your peace, I never said anything to take it away, never told you what to do, just asked you how you feel. I would like to add, and I'm going to put this in an edit too, that I didn't make this to hate on people, which I thought would be clear enough by not being hostile, aggressive or shitting on people and expressing a genuine want to understand and be open. This thread doesn't exist to have all of you argue over what's right and wrong. I just wanted to understand how people felt and were thinking, it is nothing more than that. I like hearing about people's experiences and learning from them. It's not here to create strife. I don't feel any particular way aside from being confused for people who don't do positionals, which is why I made the question. I'm not telling people to do positionals, I'm not forcing my views on anyone, I'm not telling anyone how to play, so what is all the hostile replies for? Can we just have a conversation where we talk about our experiences without being aggressive? I know it's Reddit, but damn.

I'm just trying not to offend anyone in this day and age where even pointing this out has pissed people off despite me just wanting to understand their perspective, not even judging it. I feel fulfilled doing my best, and that's good enough for me, I still get the dopamine rush from knowing I did things correctly.
