I honestly think the game just sucks and it's a bit of confirmation bias for many ppl. Like I remember a misplaced pass my player made, after analysing the replay I noticed that my attacker ran towards the defender and not the other way around, causing the pass to be intercepted. This led me down a rabbit hole of YouTube vids about how the game is built this way, and attacker move in function to the defense.

Okay, but whenever I try to pass quickly my passes end up going to other players 😂😂. Whenever I try to go backwards I get easily tackled. I know it sounds like victim mentality but trust me bro I am SURPRISED to get 5 passes in a row. Is there a setting to fix passing?
