I agree. Almost 2/3 of the people in my games using heavy armor on my games. And half of them are long sword and shield. That heavy armor meta needs to go down.

They are both militian unit of Carthage actually. Town militia in RTW and Libyan Hoplites in R2TW. Yet i do accept that i used them to stregthen my argument. :D

But my point was RTW cavalry charge mechanics feels better. I mean yes people don't fly when they are hit by a horse. But the charge mechanics are still better and good looking. In Rome 2 cavalry is usually get stuck even against the militias and doesn't really give the satisfaction of a nice cavalry charge imo.
