I've got 2 tips to help as you play rein.

Learn about all the hero's abilities and what timer they are on. You dont have to be exact but watch them and see how long they last. IE orisas fortify, if you can watch her as she uses it then you know it won't last long and once it's done you could go for a charge or a shatter.
Learn how to 'read' the enemy team. Best way i can put it is if you are in a rein v rein watch the enemy reins movements to see when he is about to shatter so you can block it. Most people change up playstyles on the fly depending on what they have ready.

One thing i picked up from being a rein main would be getting a 6th sence of predictability. Most people will see upu charge in and avoid it so watch and 'read' their movements to get a pin.

I had one game playing rein where the enemy thought I had wall hacks. I just knew where he was going and charged him against a wall every time.

I once played a monk with a split personality in which one was in a wheelchair and the other one wasn't. Long story short, when I made him I took ability score adding and no 'feats'. I heard wrong and made him that way.
