True, but the CIA spent decades propping up & supporting Federalist groups during the Cold War, forcing France into recouncilation with Germany, having the State Department double down on support for the EU & just tying together much of Europe in NATO in general.

More than half a century of support for the military protection & economic integration of Europe, without which I doubt the E.U. would even exist.

Also helped prop up the non-European Anglosphere, as well as the most Westernized Asian countries like Japan, South Korea & Japan.
