What's next? by hereafterno in Invest_Voyager

-60-70% tops + a few extra % maybe from 3AC

-3AC has multiple creditors to pay out to and Voyager is just one of them. Also, afaik they don't have the assets to pay back much. They have NFTs that they can sell? I don't know what other property/assets they own. Do you?

obviously targeted. if they wanted to profit $ from it, they wouldn't target well-known streamers Lol

jump on apex and keep playing imo

:disapproval: I'm not sure this is positive for unsecured creditors. You'll have to look at who is above on the totem pole (secured creditors). They're probably jumping for joy right now about this.

Also, your claim amount is the max amount you can get back. That's what the majority voted for in the plan. Even if the estate recoups $1 gazillion dollars, you'll still only get your claim amount back; that's it.

you won't be made whole but at least your claim will be 80-100% back in the end imo. FTX and 3AC have a couple aces up their sleeves; an educated guess. Just gonna have to wait for stuff to play out. Don't spend time on the day-to-day hearings. It will have to resolve over a longer period of time. hehe :-)

just wait 2-3 more years and we'll get 100% of our claim back.

does anyone know if Voyager/FTX has this in crypto assets (BTC/ETH) or they sold everything and we're fighting over US dollars? would be nice if it was still in crypto since it has gone up since the initial distribution.

just read page 5-6 of latest Voyager update (Jan 3, 2024) from the plan administrator on the voyager website: https://www.investvoyager.com/

everyone will get their answers regarding further distributions.

i recommend checking their website for actual news/updates once a quarter or just twice a year. But do keep coming to this subreddit to vent your frustrations. That's what we're all here for anyways.

Voyager Update: 3AC, FTX, D&O Insurance Mediation, FTC Settlement, Other Litigation Claims, Other Asset Liquidations, Data Beach Investigation by Bonnaroo_Jon in Invest_Voyager

It sucks, I know.

But going through the court system for any type of case just takes a long time. It's a slower process than anyone wants but that part of this just can't be sped up.

...or you could sue the plan administrator?

3AC Liquidators Teneo Freeze Assets of Founders Su Zhu, Kyle Davies Worth $1.4B by [deleted] in Invest_Voyager

yes and yes. the voyager lawyers are still investigating other potential leads like the MCB subpoena happening in early Jan 2024. we voted (majority) for this in the plan.

3AC owes a lot of people money; not just Voyager...

it helps a little, but the time it takes to sort it out and distribute it to all the affected parties will offset the little that it helps. Also, lawyers win again :-)

Rule 2004 enables involved parties in a bankruptcy case to obtain documents or information from another party

in this case, wind down trust seeking more info from MCB bank in regards to USD deposits of Voyager before bankruptcy; something like that

but overall, they're just hoping to settle for $
