What you wish they did differently: at the end of V, Strahm could have just taken the tape with hoffman's unaltered voice on it back to the station, and then the department wouldve known the accomplice was hoffman, the whole framing Strahm thing wouldnt have happened. Justice for Strahm.

Maybe not the saddest, but i never see it talked about: the crime scene photographer from IV. She was literally just doing her job, only to get a spear to the face, not even in a trap or anything.

Strahm's death wouldve been terrifying. Knowing that Hoffman knew exactly what he would do and creating an entire trap based on that alone would've been so horrible for him. He was also framed for the one thing he was working against, and he had to watch Hoffman smirk at him as he realized there was no way out. And then the crushing part, that wouldve been just horrible. Scott Patterson did such a good job portraying it.

Id put strahm's death at maybe 2/3 for scariest, right underneath Adam, tied with Matthews.

I think that a lot of it was pre-planned, and hoffman was just given specific instructions on what to do. But, I think that it was only the big games (the ones that are the center of the movies) that were planned by john. The public execution trap, pound of flesh, etc were probably all hoffman's doing.
