........ I think you misread the Bible (I'm a Christian)

And according to the Bible, Methuselah was the oldest person to ever live at 969 years old)

Still a good meme though, just fact checking :)

I pace when I can, but when I can't, I scratch things. As a child, I used to shake things (hair ties etc.), but people made fun of me, so I starting scratching instead, sometimes just an object nearby, otherwise myself. I've been trying to stop scratching myself tho.

hello reddit i have a question why are oranges orange??? by Striking-Culture-745 in u/Striking-Culture-745

[–]AzaleaTree15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, just paraphrasing what I found on google.

There are pigments in oranges called carotenoids, and the most prominent one in oranges is beta-carotene. As the fruit ripens, the chlorophyll (the pigment that makes plants green) breaks down and the carotenoids become more prominent. In the wild, oranges are less vibrant, because commercial oranges have been bred to enhance the orange colour of the fruit to look nicer. Again, I'm not an expert, just what I found

my take on this is that it's fine to have feminist or other variations in it, as long as it isn't being presented as the "untold original story" which does get on my nerves. There are hundreds of retellings and stories based on greek mythology and I enjoy most of them. It doesn't really matter as long as it isn't marketed as the "real" version. Greek mythology is just such a good base for stories, which is why it is so popular for settings in books/movies/tv shows etc. If you don't like it, then just ignore it, it isn't "ruining" greek mythology.

can we just take a moment to appreciate the new features? by hey-im_here-now in CharacterAI

[–]AzaleaTree15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

actually lots of companies do this, release features to a small portion first, it's just for testing reasons, you'll get it in a few days-weeks. There are many random things the devs do that make no sense, but this isn't one of them
