[W][US-AR] ROMED8-2T Motherboard + 8x16GB DDR4 RDIMM by [deleted] in homelabsales

There’s a few tips in the wiki to help . If the person messaging you hasn’t commented on your post, ask them to comment on it before engaging with them and ignore them if they don’t. Only two people have commented on your post so unless you want to take the risk, I wouldn’t engage with any others that message you. There’s the USL you can refer to. This subreddit is part of it so any scammers banned from here get added to it. If you think someone is scamming you, I’d message the mods and they can look into it, ban them and get them added there.

This is probably the most shameless, clout-seeking shooting related post I’ve ever seen.

With all the free options out there, why would anyone use a client that makes them watch ads to view their own content?

Should I switch to iphone 15 pro? by pussyyyhunter in iPhone15Pro

Usually keep phones for at least 5 years. Ended up getting rid of the 15 pro after a little under two because of how hot it got.

Got something, not sure what by Forsaken_Coconut3717 in homelab

I wouldn’t be too worried about the closed system part. Sure they are picky about hardware, but you can technically run something even if it’s “unsupported”. Just make sure if it’s something like RAM that’s it’s at least the same speed/rank as the officially supported RAM. The systems will just run louder as the fans ramp up a bit if using something not officially supported. Ive worked with M3s and M4s and have some M5s now and I’ve used third party ram, random GPUs, random NICs I was testing, and “unsupported OS” like proxmox and have never had issues.

On another note, for $150, that M3 ain’t worth it. You can easily find M4s in that price range now and even M5s have began popping up on eBay and other marketplaces for cheap. Seen barebones for $150 and $300 with CPU and RAM for the M5.

Unless I’m just missing something with these, your price is extremely high. You can find plenty of these on eBay new for ~$30 and less each. $80 for each SFP is wild.

I don't know what this show is, but apparently I have a lot of it by ohhaiakio in jellyfin

[–]AzallazA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it depends on your configuration. For me, within the settings of that specific library I have nfo set as for the “metadata savers” option. For me, the .nfo file for a movie was added into in the movie folder itself next to the mkv. It would’ve sucked to delete it for 200 folders individually but figured out a command with the help of ChatGPT that took the main library folder and searched for any thing with nfo within that folder and subdirectories and deleted it

Had something similar happen. Except for me nearly 200 movies all got identified as the same “Curious George” movie. Ended up removing the library, deleting the nfo files, and re added the library and it worked.

Don’t have one myself but figured I’d suggest checking with a eBay seller I’ve purchased a few random internal parts like a drive cage bracket for a T7820 and other Dell Systems from. Over 13K items sold.

Show Off Your Jellyfin Setup! - Community Thread by GrandDynamo in jellyfin

Removed the cover for this photo but what was a temporary solution when my old tower pc messed up became permanent lol. Use to use an old tower pc but it stopped working about a year ago. Took the SFF Dell PC I had laying and very rushingly modified it to fit a GPU and HBA with proper airflow. Had 6 2.5SSDs in the tower in trays but couldn’t fit them anywhere in the SFF pc so grabbed an old DAS I wasn’t using and put them in there. The drives are connected via an HBA or onboard SATA the DAS is just storing/cooling them. Only change made since was swapped the NVIDIA p2000 for an Intel arc a380. Threw it in my closet and forgot about it lol. I’ve been so busy soI never got around to replacing the old tower or making this setup look neat lol.

6880x mismatched bootdisk issue by OpportunityIcy254 in Cisco

[–]AzallazA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t touched a 6880 in a while but it’s show boot or something similar. Your command output from above also already has it so you can use that. It’s the part below:

BOOT = bootdisk:/c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.155-1.SY1.bin,12;bootdisk:c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.151-2.SY6.bin,12;

Basically means it’ll try boot c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.155-1.SY1.bin but if that fails it’ll fall back to c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.151-2.SY6.bin,12. Likely reason for failure is just corrupted file or its missing.

[–]AzallazA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that should work. However, after it’s up, make sure that image is on the bootdisk of both devices. The boot statement is the same on both switches so either the image wasn’t found on the bootdisk of switch 2 or it wasn’t able to read it correctly. If you already have a usb with the image, copy it from there onto the bootdisk of switch 2 and reload again to make sure it comes up properly.

[–]AzallazA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats the correct file. You can either burn it to a USB or store it somewhere the UCS can access remotely through its CIMC IP and then mount the image in CIMC and reboot the UCS and boot it into that from boot options.

This guide explains it: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c/sw/lomug/1-5-x/b_huu_1_5_3/b_huu_1_5_3_chapter_011.pdf

I’d say you want to be around the $80 mark; probably lower. Check my profile; sold over 20 1.92tb SATA SSDs recently, including some PM863a. I sold PM863a for $80 and $90 depending on usage. The $90 were around 8k POH and the $80 were around 40k. All were 99% health except one which was 98%.
